About
Welcome to Funnel Runners, where you will have your first on-site deployment with APEX Storm Monitoring Services.
A high-priority F5 tornado is approaching, and we are counting on you (and up to 7 fellow friends) to collect data, scavenge necessary information, and, of course, survive.

The weather is your worst enemy here. Tornados and storms will spawn randomly, grow stronger over time, and tear the whole map apart. Buildings will collapse piece by piece, and items will no longer be found in destroyed areas, so you must adapt quickly. Be careful not to be swept up by the wind; you may not be found again.

In this mission, you can team up with 7 other players or tackle it solo. Share gadgets, split up to cover more ground, collect necessary information and items to fix the van before the situation turns bad.
With realistic graphics and a first-person perspective, the experience brings you close to every gust of wind, distant siren, and falling piece of debris.

Scavenge the collapsing city for scattered vehicle parts, fuel, and tools. These items will allow you to repair your van and help you survive the storm. Each playthrough features randomized environments, weather, items, and problems to solve on your vehicle. No playthrough will be the same.

Absolutely love this game. From the calm beginning to the absolute carnage at the end. The sounds of the storms are just amazing, have to pretty much yell in the mic to be heard. Probably my favourite game of this type so far. If I had to recommend one thing though it would be to lose the Acid Rain, or maybe have an option to turn it off, all the other hazards feel like they add something to the atmosphere of the game and create chaos, but Acid Rain just gets annoying.

The atmosphere and gameplay are great. I think it's a fun time with friends but currently there is very little content. After beating it once I thought we were unlocking another level and was pretty disappointed there wasn't one. I will still recommend this game and will definitely come back to it in a year when it has more content.
Having played the game for around two hours and having a fairly positive experience, I have some talking points.
(Be aware that I played this COMPLETELY SOLO so this may change my opinions on the game in certain ways as compared to playing with 2 or more people as the game likely intended)
To start, this game has probably some of the most believable and dynamic weather I have ever seen, period. The tornadoes dynamically rip houses apart, pull fences to the side, tear up trees, pull down power lines (which are dynamic threats), lightning will strike random objects and start fires (also a dynamic threat), acid rain... kind of just exists and gets nullified by the umbrella but whatever. You can go into every single building and scrounge for resources needed to fix your van and -- to my knowledge -- I'm fairly certain the town is randomly generated, the layout seems to be different every time. This is clearly an early access game, there's tons of small bugs and oversights everywhere, nitpicks, lack of variety etc. But I see some WILD potential here. With more maps, areas, features, and so on, this could be absolutely insane. I'll list off a couple of gripes I have here: - While I appreciate the option to disable the VHS HUD effects, turning down the CRT effect to 0 doesn't completely remove it, still being slightly visible -- and on that note, I would like the ability to disable the film grain. - I would SINCERELY APPRECIATE HAVING THE ABILITY TO VAULT OVER SHORT OBSTACLES. Not being able to clamber over a tall fence, that's fine, I wouldn't expect climbing mechanics anyway. But being stopped from hopping a waist-high white picket fence is genuinely a little annoying, even when it's destroyed sometimes I still get stuck on what's left of it and have to jump over. - I'm not really expecting this one to be added 100%, but I think it'd make the game a lot more interesting and interactive. I think you should have to actually drive the van out of the area to escape after fixing it. The way it is now is okay , but having to actually make a desperate drive out of the map with your friends inside (especially on the later difficulties where I'm assuming the F5 tornado arrives way faster) would make this leg of each run way more fun. Now, the big one: - Having repeatedly played the American Suburbs over and over again, I can safely say that I've seen pretty much all there is to see even after just an hour of playing. I've seen the roadmap, and I think that adding more structures, areas, or just making the generated map bigger (if it's procedurally generated) would seriously help alleviate this problem. Besides that last one -- which is moreso just a gripe that could be made for nearly any early access game -- I genuinely don't have a lot of criticisms so far besides small nitpicks. I think that as of right now, all I want is more. More building variety, more disasters, more items, more features, more maps, more, MORE, MORE. If all I can really complain about are small issues -- mostly just typical early access stuff -- and my only requests are just me wanting more of this game? That's a seriously good sign, hell that's already doing better than 99% of other early access games out there. So yeah, this is an amazing foundation for so much more to come. I'm very hyped for what's gonna be added to this game over the coming months and beyond. It'd only take a couple more maps and this would easily reach dream game status for me.
8.5/10
Easy 10/10 with more maps, can't wait to see what gets added.
This game is lacking a lot. You basically have a broken van, and have to find parts to fix it to escape the impending storm. The hazards are very easily avoidable which made it feel too easy to be enjoyable. There was no challenge, and even while playing with friends, there is nothing that necessitates that you work together. Didn't have to play long at all for it to get repetitive. Don't understand the hype at all. Similar games like Phasmophobia or Lethal Company have more to offer. On the positive side, the graphics are great, and the game runs really well.
A terror game without monsters.
fun game i enjoyed it alot . just needs more maps . minus that the game is super fun
Honestly its a great game with only one mission. Its pretty cool. run around, die by a tornado, watch your friend win, and repeat. Never had more fun dying.
Runs smoother then expected. Fun with friend.
still a few bugs but, fun to play. highly difficult even in training mode.
