This game is great, the platforming feels wonderful, the music and aesthetics are all on point, it's all just a really great package! The platforming comes together to have great sequences where that flow state feels great. I feel bad making any criticisms because the ones I have are *really* minor and I don't want to scare anyone away from playing this game that radiates passion from the folks behind it in all the ways that count, but my nitpicks are the checkpoints can make the difficulty curve a little weird at times, and the writing doesn't always work (but that's gonna vary wildly from person to person) though while the main story wasn't something I clicked with I loved the incidental dialogue with a lot of the NPCs, which also had wonderful designs to match the wonderful level aesthetics. There's a few music tracks that absolutely blew me away, and I was consistently impressed with the fun visual design this game kept playing with! And honestly it was all just the right length, I love a short game that is great the whole way through. I'm glad I stumbled across this, I guess Steam finally figured out this is the kinda stuff I love most from games. I'm excited to go back and play the free precursor to this, and to see what the folks behind this come up with next!
very fun and good looking game. gameplay feels smooth, tho sometimes a little too smooth, like you run in buttershoes. music is FANTASTIC!!! really well done! the story... is interesting, but the ending was very cryptic which made it kinda unsatisfying. 7.5/10
The music caught me off guard, this game was super fun, not too challenging, i literally sat back and listened to the full songs for each new one. i love this game so much and would highly suggest trying it if possible. thank you for the amazing experience <3
FUNKYHEART is an unconventional indie platformer that combines energetic movement mechanics with a surreal narrative, creating an experience that feels equal parts whimsical adventure and psychological mystery. Developed and published by juicce, the game follows Bunn, a rabbit-like protagonist who awakens in an unfamiliar world stripped of their memories. Rather than guiding players through a straightforward narrative, the game gradually reveals its story through exploration, environmental details, and hidden discoveries scattered across its colorful yet unsettling landscapes. This approach allows curiosity to become the driving force behind progression, encouraging players to question every strange encounter and unusual location as they search for answers about Bunn's forgotten past. Movement serves as the centerpiece of the gameplay, with bunny hopping forming the core traversal mechanic. Instead of relying on simple jumps from platform to platform, players are encouraged to build momentum, chain movements together, and master increasingly demanding sections that reward precision and timing. Additional abilities, including the power to freeze hazards, introduce puzzle-solving elements that prevent the gameplay from becoming repetitive. These mechanics work well together by offering a satisfying balance between speed and careful planning, making each new area feel like both an obstacle course and a playground for experimentation. Hidden routes and optional secrets further reward players who take the time to thoroughly investigate each environment instead of rushing toward the next objective. The game's visual identity is one of its most memorable qualities. Bright colors, unusual architecture, and quirky character designs initially create the impression of a cheerful fantasy world, but that lighthearted appearance slowly gives way to increasingly disturbing themes. This contrast strengthens the psychological horror elements without relying heavily on conventional scares. Instead, the unsettling atmosphere is built through strange imagery, subtle environmental storytelling, and the gradual realization that the world around Bunn conceals far darker truths than its playful exterior suggests. The supporting cast adds personality and humor throughout the adventure, helping balance the more serious narrative moments while making the world feel alive and unpredictable. Storytelling is intentionally subtle, asking players to connect fragmented pieces of information rather than delivering every answer directly. Exploration is consistently rewarded with additional lore, hidden locations, and narrative clues that deepen the mystery surrounding Bunn's identity and the nature of the strange world they inhabit. This style of storytelling gives every optional discovery a meaningful purpose, making exploration feel valuable beyond simply collecting secrets. Players who enjoy interpreting symbolism and uncovering hidden narrative details will likely appreciate the game's willingness to trust its audience instead of explaining every mystery outright. The game's unusual design philosophy may not appeal to everyone, however. Those expecting a traditional platformer with clearly defined objectives or a straightforward plot may occasionally find themselves confused by the abstract storytelling and dreamlike environments. Some platforming sequences also demand patience and practice before movement becomes second nature. Fortunately, these elements appear to be deliberate creative choices rather than shortcomings, reinforcing the game's unique personality instead of conforming to familiar genre expectations. Combined with accessible hardware requirements, the game remains approachable while still offering enough challenge to satisfy players looking for a distinctive indie experience. FUNKYHEART succeeds by confidently embracing originality in both its gameplay and presentation. Its satisfying movement system, imaginative level design, mysterious narrative, and striking blend of colorful fantasy with psychological horror help it stand apart from more conventional indie platformers. While its cryptic storytelling and experimental style may not resonate with every audience, players willing to immerse themselves in its strange world will discover a rewarding adventure filled with memorable exploration and intriguing mysteries. It is a creative and atmospheric title that demonstrates how thoughtful world-building and inventive mechanics can transform a simple platformer into a far more engaging journey. Rating: 8/10

8/10 The platformer is really solid and the scaling in levels is very fair although I wish it was a little bit more difficult the more you progressed. Only a few times where the second jump didn't register mainly due to ground I was standing on being uneven. The Music is really good, it's one of the best soundtracks I've heard in an indie game. It's very fun to talk to NPCs as they have some pretty funny dialogue and it actually makes you want to talk to all of them. The only negative about this game is that there's not enough levels to fully enjoy the music or the bunnyhop mechanic.
yeah on that groovy vibe
I LOVE HOPPING AROUND LIKE A BUNNY I LOVE THE STORY I LOVE THE CHARACTERS
I really really love this, it's so Funky
