act 6 is super janky, and the hacker segments are borderline impossible without a guide, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is so worth the lows. obviously cant spoil anything, but this game goes off the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rails later on, and i mean that in the best way possible
Friendsim 2 truly is a marvelous experience. You can tell by playing that the people making this game truly care about the source material they're working with and really want to make something great with it. And they do! Friendsim 1 and Pesterquest were both very enjoyable experiences that made me think more about Homestuck in many ways, but Friendsim 2 is really on a whole different level. If you're a fan of both of those games, you need to be playing Friendsim 2 right now. It has an excellent story, excellent writing, beautiful pieces of art from very talented artists, music that really gets you into the moment, and choices to make that really do feel like they matter. I really do have to emphasize how good the writing is; this feels official. Beyond Official, if you will. The writing team really does know the material they are working with and it shows. Overall, this is an experience I would love to have again. I hope this isn't Studio June's last work because I truly would like to see more of what they have. Play this game.

**disclaimer: this review was written while playing volume 7** This game is amazing, it's clearly a passion project and i absolutely adore it. But it has some MAJOR issues that make it an absolutely awful game experience. I bought this game for Xefros' volume, as he is my favourite Hiveswap character and isn't present in Hiveswap Friendsim. His volume is volume 7, which was a pain to get to because of the fact this game makes you play it in its entirety to get to the volumes you want. Unlike Pesterquest (and presumably Friendsim) Friendsim 2 has no volume select, which forced me to mash through 3 hours worth of gameplay. This game would benefit GREATLY from having a dedicated story mode AND volume select mode. Especially considering how interactive this game is and how often the skip button is disabled. And when I finally did reach volume 7 the story was ruined by CONSTANT Renpy errors. Like every other line of dialogue constant. Which appeared during important story beats like Chixi talking about her career and her relationship with Zebruh after we leave his office, and then immediately after with Xefros when we talk with him about why he's upset. These errors were script exceptions, which would pause the game to show the broken code. These pauses would stop character audio, skip dialogue and break transitions. Making the conversation completely illegible. It's incredibly disappointing. I would highly recommend this game if not for these game ruining issues. And I will change this review if these are fixed. But for now this game is a pain to play, and I would not recommend it.
fun and silly and great if you want more friendsim just turn off the voices for whenever galekh or mallek speak for best performance
Good writing, good voice acting, a bit glitchy in some chapters but otherwise, really good game
absolutely phenomenal story, while some of the gameplay segments can be finicky, the entire product as a whole sparkles like a diamond of love for the original friendsim and pesterquest. granted there are some moments of janky writing and plot, and not every chapter shines as bright as the others, it is a FREE experience, with many more hours in store for anybody interested than what ive put in so far. it is absolutely worth your time. if you liked hiveswap you will like this too
Este juego es tan ridículamente bueno que me da pena ser negro y pobre para poder donarle a cada persona que se participó en este proyecto. Benditoa sean los fans.
