About

We are speechless. After a hundred years of silence, research station Fragrance Point starts sending signals to earth. What does it mean? We are sending our most advanced security robot. Armed with lipstick, snazzy boots and a big heart, we are sure it will do the right thing. What will it find?

Fragrance Point is a digital paradise where you can do everything you want: Dress up, dance with aliens, and knock big things over. Make new friends, embarrass yourself in front of everyone, and you might just find a way into the station's core.

Wonderful little game with curious non-human lifeforms and intensely stimulating experiences. A feast for the senses.
Dig the aesthetic, but annoying gameplay and very backtracky. Also no real warning for the point of no return, or a way to return to before that point to get one final collectible. Also using the lightning and jumping around would sometimes break all of your attacks unless you reload. Last thing that bugged me about the game was that you can consistently blow one of the last enemies out of the map and softlock yourself if you use the thicc almond boys on it.
So I am giving this a thumbs up because, I do think it deserves to be played and seen but I am going to request that you heavily go into this with an open mind. Like how do you even rate a game like this? It is so astronomically high on the visual, character, sound design, music, and charming scale yet so absolutely low on the gameplay and playability. I can't call this a bad game, but it feels bad to play and you get no warning when you cross a "point of no return" and you're just locked into the bad end. I do like this game, but I also don't. So frustrating. You are almost definitely not going to get the good ending the first time, or second, or third. Honestly, you might never get it, the game is obscure with what it wants you to do. That being said, it just controls so awkwardly and kinda' badly I don't think playing through this more than once is on the menu for most people... So that will leave you feeling disappointed. My advice is just play through this blind, then watch a speedrun of the good ending after you fail. Like a rather harrowing example of this game's completion rate is to check the achievements. The Bad ending, aka just beating the game at all as of April 2026 has an 18% rate. That means only 18% of people have beat this that bought the game. Further still, only 5% have gotten the good ending. I am very glad this game exists, but I really don't wanna experience the gameplay itself again.

hi we have no idea how to make a proper review but. this game's got a super unique art style, probably visible just by looking at the store page. very diverse array of alien species, but we could still relate to their emotions and thought processes [being neurodivergent nonhumans this was appreciated]. also tying into this are the robots that kinda suck at what they do [potentially including the player character, i think]. in terms of gameplay, we did have a bit of difficulty navigating the spacecraft at first but that could just be us being a little slow in spatial reasoning. we appreciated how the game teaches you environmental cues for where to use your tools as you progress. adding on top of that the fact that characters change their locations and activities in response to various events, making the setting feel more alive. uhh running out of things we can think of. we really like the
lil cartoon creatures that show up in one of the endings
, i hope we get to see those more
???
As far as I can tell, no other game looks or sounds like it.
I recently nominated this game for the Outstanding Visual Style award for the 2025 Steam Awards. I chose to review this game because not only do I want the badge for the Steam Awards, but I think it also stands as a great example of just how striking this game appears. The game itself is a pretty fun collectathon and it's unintentionally a supreme competitor to games like Toree 3D and Super Kiwi 64 due to it's $8.00 price tag. But unlike those games, this one is much longer and has a VERY original appearance. If you like those weird CGI posters from the 90s, you'll love this game.
Really fun exploration. I like when games throw me into their world and let me figure it out on my own. I also love the characters, they have great personalities. Great visuals too.
My hot take is that this is the best 3D Metroidvania of 2025. A bunch of alien find an empty space station and basically go "let's f*** around and find out". You - a heart with eyes and a sort of semi-organic mech suit body - are tasked with figuring out what is happening on this space station, which translations into "f*** around and find out, but harder then everybody else" The game looks like what happens when somebody spends 10 years creating stuff on Spore (remember Spore?) and then deciding to make a game out of it after taking some LSD to figure out which colors do NOT GO WELL together, and it is glorious. Movement is janky but with enough practice becomes insane shmovement so be prepared to be frustrated and delighted in rapid succession. You have no idea what anything is or does on this spaceship at first so part of the magic of this game is not only figuring out what you need to do, but rather what everything even IS in the first place. It carries to spirit of a metroidvania on a conceptual level which is lovely. At the same time it almost feels a bit immersive-SIM-y with how puzzle solving is tied to the tools at your disposal. It is important that you pay attention to everything and listen to the various bonkers NPCs since they give vital clues to the inner workings of Fragrance Point. Another delightful point (for me) is that the game is rather short. 5+ hours, and even less so if you know what you're doing. In my current play time (~18 hours) I played through the game twice and I did a lot of goofing around and some idling. The game lends itself to multiple playthroughs and speedruns since there are two endings, a lot of (missable) collectibles and a few different routes to take through the game. Anyway, treat yourself, this game is great and there's probably nothing quite like it.
Good ending Fragrance Point is effortlessly stylish and interesting. Every level is a party, and all your little tools go off in rhythm. Beautiful rolling, curving, pulsating, glowing, reflective geometry.
