Gesamtbewertung: 4/5 - Virtuelles 007-Abenteuer mit kleinen Steuerungsherausforderungen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThtV9O5kBwA 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
 Follow Third group
and discover more reviews from me.
some facts first. 1. i paid full price ($30) 2. it took me 2 hours to finished. 3. i played on a valve index. TLDR: It was fun, i liked playing it but there's no way its worth full price, $20-15 maybe. its was fun only because there are so few story driven campaign's in VR and i was really itching for one story is fine, serviceable. Gun play is meh, they made a couple decisions i find odd. why make ammo limited but place so much of it everywhere? isn't the point of limited ammo to add a level of tension and resource management? ammo being littered everywhere defeats that doesn't it? there are 3 "power up guns" but they're everywhere, why not just give us the guns and make ammo for them scarce? guns feel weak, like pea shooters, there decent recoil and the enemy's react to being shot but Nerf guns sound more punchy then these dollar store throw away's enemy variety is a little lacking, but not that big of a deal. it is a 2 hour game after all there's generic bad guy 1# he runs around and shoots at you, sometimes he taking cover, sometimes he flanks, sometimes he stares at the wall and ponder's the meaning of his life there's kamikaze guy hes loud and bright cant miss him and then there's big with big gun, he as a backpack you shoot at. i would of liked to see one maybe two more. some sort melee unit with a big fracking wrench maybe an animal unit too. the whole skiing thing is pretty cool my favorite parts i had a nightmare of a time trying to grab the charging handle for the smg with my index controllers, finally i just rebound left grip to left trigger. might just be because my index is a couple years old
👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
Follow Third group
English: Fracked by nDreams. A short action shooter with a story in a comic-like celshading style. I've had fond memories of the studio for a long time thanks to the great adventure game The Assembly (2016). Fracked takes a completely different tack and is an action shooter from 2021 that was released exclusively on PSVR at the time and has also been available on Steam since 2022. The game throws us into James Bond-style action right from the start. We find ourselves on a mountain, skis on our feet, the sun on our faces. Nice enough, but just seconds later we are racing down the mountain and are of course chased by a huge avalanche. Only to end up in a shootout with some purple zombie creatures a short time later. Fracked offers frantic action right from the start. During all the action, we don't really notice much of the story that Fracked has to offer. As a secret agent, we have to infiltrate a mine where all the workers have been turned into these purple zombies. There we then have to defeat a super villain, who of course threatens the entire planet. Nothing new. The controls of the PSVR game have been ported surprisingly well and the interesting way of taking cover has also been retained. When we touch surfaces, we can simply pull ourselves up and move freely around them. This means that Fracked can also be played sitting down - the console sends its regards. Climbing, which we have to do a lot of, and shooting work well. Despite the fact that the weapons are not very varied, it's fun. We even have to reload ourselves (semi-manually). If the magazine is empty, we simply hit under the weapon with our free hand and pull through with the other. Simple. When we shoot an enemy, he loses ammo boxes, which we collect by running over. Unfortunately, the variety of enemy types is also very small, with only two or three different ones. The graphics are, not only for the sake of origin, a comic-like celshading style reminiscent of Borderlands, but don't offer as much detail or variety, it's just the one mission. This may be a pity, but it doesn't interfere with the fast flow of the game and I think Fracked also runs on older gaming PC cucumbers. Fracked is action that you don't often get in VR. Even though the game's origin and age are clearly visible, it's still fun to play the indomitable agent. 👀Nameless agents can be found on🎊 my curator page. 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
Follow Third group
This game should be delisted
I'm enjoying it. It has a mix of gun play and climbing, but excels at neither. The head tracking is limited to the skiing sections only. They are awful if you are sitting, but are tons fun if you play standing. You gotta put your body into it.
Enjoyed this quick title! 5 hours of gameplay, very attractive cell shaded art style. Simple but fun run and gun shoot-em-up action. Thought the skiing sections were very well done too. Story was ridiculous, though. Made very little sense. $30 is a bit steep though, so I'd wait for it to come on sale.
Was a fun, albeit repetitive 2.5hrs. You'll be one handing a few different weapons but mostly an SMG. All the enemies fight the same tho they introduce a mini-boss like heavy part-way thru. Checkpoint system can be infuriating, especially on the final act. Your hurtbox gets EXTRA wonky if you play in a large playspace because the game tracks your position in the world relative to a circle that's suppose to be underneath you. If you move too far away, you might take phantom damage - especially terrible once the game introduces explosives. Still, if the trailer looks fun, I recommend this game! Def get it on sale, this could have been beat in 1.5hr if I didn't have such a hard time with the ending (because of the problems mentioned above)
I did enjoy this game. Was fun to have some variety with the ski slopes, facilities and vehicles. My friend tried VR for the first time with this game at my place, and I had to catch him as he tried to lean backwards when going down the slopes. :)
Fracked, developed and published by nDreams, is an adrenaline-fueled virtual reality experience that expertly combines intense first-person shooting with innovative movement mechanics, including skiing, climbing, and ziplining. From the moment you step into its snowy mountain setting, the game offers a fast-paced, physically engaging adventure that pushes the boundaries of VR gameplay. The player takes on the role of an unlikely hero battling an onslaught of interdimensional foes known as the “Fracked,” which serves as the driving force behind the game’s relentless action sequences. While the story itself is fairly straightforward and primarily serves to propel you through the game’s various set pieces, it provides just enough context to keep the momentum going without slowing down the pace. One of the most impressive aspects of Fracked is its fluid and intuitive combat system. The game features a unique, fully interactive gunplay mechanic that allows for true 1:1 movement with weapons and a clever cover system that players can physically grab and move around with. This creates a level of immersion rarely seen in VR shooters, as you’re encouraged to think tactically—ducking behind cover, flanking enemies, and making use of a versatile arsenal of firearms. The combat feels natural and responsive, allowing for frantic firefights that never feel repetitive or stale. Coupled with this, the game’s enemies are varied and aggressive, requiring quick reflexes and strategic use of the environment to overcome. Movement in Fracked is where the game truly shines, setting it apart from many other VR shooters. The seamless integration of skiing down mountainsides, climbing walls, and ziplining through treacherous terrain adds a kinetic energy that keeps the experience fresh and exhilarating. The transitions between these movement types feel smooth and intuitive, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the game’s dynamic world. This focus on physicality makes Fracked not just a test of shooting skills but also of spatial awareness and reflexes, demanding players stay physically engaged throughout their journey. It’s a thrilling blend of freedom and control that makes traversing the game’s environments as enjoyable as the combat itself. Visually, Fracked embraces a stylized art style that complements its high-energy gameplay. The environments range from pristine, snow-covered mountain landscapes to futuristic military installations, each crafted with an attention to detail that enhances immersion. The use of vibrant colors, dynamic lighting, and atmospheric effects helps establish a world that feels alive despite its post-apocalyptic setting. These visual elements, combined with the smooth frame rates and solid performance typical of nDreams’ VR titles, contribute to a comfortable and engaging experience that rarely breaks the sense of presence. However, some players might find that the art style leans more toward stylized aesthetics rather than photorealism, which may be a matter of personal preference. While Fracked excels in many areas, it is worth noting that its campaign is relatively brief, with most players completing the core experience within four to six hours. For those seeking a longer narrative or deeper story development, this may feel somewhat limited. The game’s plot focuses primarily on action and spectacle, with minimal character development or complex storytelling. This design choice keeps the focus firmly on gameplay but might leave players craving more in terms of narrative depth. Additionally, while the gameplay mechanics are polished, a few minor technical issues and occasional pacing quirks have been reported, though these are generally overshadowed by the game’s strengths. Overall, Fracked delivers a compelling and energetic VR adventure that leverages its unique combination of shooting and movement mechanics to create an engaging and memorable experience. Its high-octane gameplay, immersive environments, and intuitive controls make it a standout title for VR enthusiasts looking for something beyond traditional shooters. While the story and campaign length may not satisfy everyone, the core gameplay loop provides plenty of thrills and challenges, making it well worth exploring for anyone who enjoys physically active and fast-paced VR games. Fracked is a testament to how VR can elevate action gaming by blending physicality with intense combat in a beautifully crafted world. Rating: 6/10
