Games made in a short period of time is a challenge to any developer no matter their experience I hope developer had fun while making it To put it nicely, game is more filled on the code side rather than visuals and fun gameplay In FoxRun you run forward, collect coins to score points, avoid being hit by crows and collect meal packs to heal 10 out of 100 hp. If hp drops to 0, you're greated with some silly quote. You'll be able to restart or watch how your "corpse" continues to slide forward while game is still going) What i liked in this game was looped music (at first i thought it was a start of "Never gonna give you up", but i was wrong). No credits were provided, so i don't know if it's made by developer, taken from someone or frrom free platform Now to parts that were not so good 1 Controls There's not a lot of things you really can do, yet it was weird. You can move left and right with A and D, squish to half or less of your height with S to let (some) crows fly over you, jump or double jump with spacebar? and if you hold W.. you do some sort of dash? i'm not sure what was supposed to be (if it was supposed to even), it makes character kind of rubber band on a spot, sometimes it gets "recharged" and you can do dash again but only half or third the distance 2 Crows If you never hated birds, now it's the time :D So birds spawn from trees and fly in the direction of the player with a speed of a variant between slow turtle and a bullet. And they can fly toward you from a tree that you already passed. "Ah, there's nothing better than running down the street and get hit by a crow flying in one ear and flying out from another" I'd say it's sadly the worst part due to how rapidly they spawn and hit you. 3 Objects There's not a lot of things around the map: walls (you can see a little bit between walls and floor) and some obstacles on which you can jump. When you hit one, you don't lose any health, but you're being pushed slightly away. I was playing around it and was curious to see for how long can i stay in one place and i fell thought the floor, camera angled. I couldn't open pause menu and all i could do was to watch all crows trying to fly in a floor and under it. Silly for sure, but you have to alt+f4 or force close the game. 4 Preview What i mean by it is a 3D anime fox girl on the cover and a screenshot with NVIDIA pop up. It's not too bad, last can be changed and misleading info can be removed, but it's something to pay attention to So..steam doesn't have something in between yes/no in recommending. Overall i wouldn't recommend it as a Game. FoxRun is working in terms of code, tho i can't rate it It's not well polished (due to being a game made in 24 hours), and mostly serves to a developer as a source for portfolio and maybe advertisement.
