Reviews
At launch I would have given Forza Horizon 6 a solid recommendation, as someone who came from Horizon 4 and 5 purely based on the fact that its a step up from whatever Horizon 5's map design was. Now with that "honey moon" phase over, I seriously cant recommend this cash grab of a game. The game, despite its improvements over previous entries feels more like a hollow gatcha game more than ever. The devs expect you to log in weekly and grind out missions to get a new exclusive car that they will only let you have through said limited time missions. Took a break from the game and missed out on that car you really wanted? Too bad. This is just blatant FOMO to keep a over 150GB game on your PC and requiring you to constantly log in to check what is new. Then there is car customization. When you think of Japan's Car culture, there is so much to explore, especially when it comes to car tuning, exterior customization cosmetics and more. Somehow Playground Games has managed to completely ignore all that potential and culture by simply recycling car models from 3 or more games prior along with the shallow customization from the Xbox 360 era. Lastly, a main pillar of any game is progression. Forza Horizon 6 has made progression feel like a chore you need to "get out of the way" to chase some arbitrary goal even you, the player, dont really know what that goal is. Sure there is "Legend Island" (which is sorely disapointing) but other than that there really isnt any feeling of accomplishment or anything to show other than a new "wristband" for the time and money you invested into that. And the worst part is this isnt even a new issue to the Horizon franchise, but somehow Horizon 6 is worse than the previous entry at this, which already was terrible at this. I am sick and tired of this franchise. It really feels, more than ever, like all you are paying for is a new map, slight improvements here and there, and other than that a recycled game from last entry, that already was a recycled game of the installment prior to that one. More than ever I see why Geoff Keighley put Sports and Racing Games in the same category: They are both just the same game every entry, with marginal improvements sold off as a "brand new game that revolutionizes... something" So no. Unless by some miracle Playground Games decies to fix the underlying foundations of stuff like progression, customization, or at the very least going back and doing remodels of cars they just lazily ported from Horizon 5 or even 4 or 3, I really cannot recommend you buy this game. From the FOMO to the utter slop this game really is, its not worth your time, and certainly not worth your money for the ungodly amount that they want to charge you for it.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Main issue, poorly balanced AI opponents, is well covered in the other reviews. This is made worse by the game's constant need to force the player to raise the difficulty if they win at all and for weekly objectives. New issue is that the devs decided that the tire grip that the game had since launch was too much and allowed people to have good vehicle tunes. The overall enjoyment of playing has dropped since most cars slide around everywhere, even on clean, dry asphalt. Devs answer would be: change your tires to grippier tires that allow less speed. But that doesn't solve every race and story mission that gives you a pre-tuned vehicle. I'm going back to FH5, better driving fun and tons more stuff to do.
It's an empty feeling open world with nothing to do once you get to the waste of time that is legend island, there's no community, it's just not worth the price tag :(
Horizon Play is pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Same game as the past 3, same bugs, same unbalanced PI system, same AI that either is braindead or outright cheats. Now for the new things, menus are worse, livery editor is worse, wheelspin rewards are worse, system and progress bugs are worse. (My friend has the whole game complete then lost all map progress due to a poorly implemented patch.) Online is infested with cheaters, rammers and people who shouldn't be allowed within 5 feet of a car. Reporting does nothing and week after week, the playerbase shrinks EXCEPT for these scummy players. The devs do not care and just want your money for regurgitating the same slop over and over again. Stay away and go play something else.
FOMO ruins this game Awful story, clunky ui, pointless but extremely in-depth garage customization. Devs shut down ways to earn money instead of addressing the issue and making it easier. They don’t care. They want you to buy cars with real money. If you doing log on once a week for a long session to grind the objectives you’ll miss out on cars. So overall what’s the point of this game? There is no point at all. Drive around in the cars you do have or hope you get a cool one with the in game gambling system. The new update completely broke the lighting system. I would not recommend this game at all. It’s fun to drive around but choose a different game to do it in.
