About
Forward Line is a war strategy game with a focus on combined arms, logistics and military science.
This is a turn based, medium weight, abstract strategy board game with a World War II theme. The object is to capture the cities of the world with your military units. The game is over when one player has more than twice as many cities than his opponent. Each city can create one unit per game turn, so the more cities you conquer the more units you can muster and the greater your chances of victory.
In some ways the game is like chess, in that it is a game of positioning and maneuver; there is no random chance involved in determining whether a unit defeats an enemy unit. However, you must also use the terrain to gain advantage, and must sometimes contend with imperfect knowledge, such as managing the danger of deadly, invisible submarines. There are 10 types of military unit that have unique roles that must be combined to deceive, outrun, outwit and overwhelm your opponent.

Reviews
fascinating game, with very deep tactics
It's good and needs more recognition.
Played this game quite a lot on mobile until I found out that it's on PC. Very fun for the small file size and low system requirements! For anyone coming from mobile the stormbound expansion (Adds weather which makes the game much more complex) comes with the base game.

So, I played this game on mobile before, and I can tell you that the features this game has really are friggin awesome for several reasons. While it's simple enough that you can understand it by just playing the - really well made - tutorials, the fact that you have to counteract the same strategies makes it quite complicated, especially once you have weather turned on. The game itself is awesome, especially if you have somebody to play against. If you're playing against the AI ... well ... not so much. The AI is not that good (which, honestly, I think might even be intended for theme reasons), and it gets a bit more of a puzzle game vibe to it, which is still decent. For me, I mostly consider it a pure hotseat game, due to the option, and the easily understandable rules. it's very viable as that. Last I checked, the dev seemed to work towards async online multiplayer, which will hopefully remove the issue of having to have a friend and sufficient time at hand to play. (Pls, make this happen) And, for the last, you can consider the mobile free to play version a demo for this, the game is still good, and while it has ads, they're in integrated in a very likeable way. (You will know what I mean)
