About

Utilise weapons, armour, abilities, alchemy ingredients, traps and anything else you can lay your hands on within an entirely classless character progression system.
Whether you want to be a nimble-footed archer flinging fireballs between arrows or face your foes, toe to toe as an axe-wielding whirlwind of death; the choice is yours.

The Vale of Vahrin is beset by threats from both within and without, the perfect place for a mercenary in search of their next contract.
Rival mercenaries, bandits, monstrous beasts and even hideous creatures infest the Vale of Vahrin, ready and waiting for their bounties to be claimed.
Master intense real-time action combat and adapt to every challenge, ensuring that no enemy, no matter how powerful, can stand in your way.

Aid the survivors in their personal tales of grief, love and even humour, as they fight back against the overwhelming odds facing Vahrin.
Traverse a world steeped in beauty and mystery, from overgrown city streets to magical caverns and murky bogs, each hand-crafted to test your resolve.
Scour every corner; leaving no stone unturned in your quest to discover hidden treasures, unravel lost mysteries, and claim the spoils of Vahrin for your own.

The city of Vahrin found itself overwhelmed by a swarm of the grotesque, insect-like creatures known as khraiax.
In response, many of the Free Cities, united under the banner of the Combined Order, sent their armies to confront this terrible threat.
But victory was not to be theirs, for while the khraiax stood little chance against the might of the combined forces, a far greater danger rose from beneath the city’s streets.
Vahrin’s king lies dead, along with thousands of soldiers who marched to the city’s aid. Now only its most stalwart defenders remain, desperately fighting to reclaim their beloved home.

Vahrin’s Call stands as its own complete tale, yet it forms just one part of a sweeping epic narrative that spans nations and continents.
What begins as smaller, isolated struggles becomes part of a greater saga, where every character’s trial, every kingdom’s war, and every act of courage or betrayal weaves the tapestry of the unfolding story throughout the world.

Trailer look way better than the actual game , UI feel cheap , gameplay is clunky , when you loot item they hide the notification in the bottom right and that is just what I notice in the intro .. First impression is important and this is not it .
Game refunded god knows how this got on to steam in the first place, the graphics, the jank, the input lag, even the menus are clearly unfinished! This is one of the first games I have played on steam and thought this game can't even claim to be a beta build it's more like pre-alpha at best! Yes it was a small team but looks at other indie games stardue for instance a single person made that! Perhaps in time it will become something down the line but in it's state I doubt it

I'm going to assume this was made on unity. Unity character models tend to be pretty rough looking, very plasticy appearances. That was my first complaint. The creation screen had frustrating UI with the drop down lists and overall layout, it looked like a beta screen. Other than the bad looking characters models the world itself looks really nice I ended up refunding this after 20 minutes because the character movement is just too rough and has a tad bit of floatiness to it with it. The dodge roll looks like the character is doing a side flip while standing in place and it barely functions. Attacks also felt really stiff. If it's possible I'd encourage the devs to set this to early access. It needs way more polishing and you'll just get a lot of complaints and hate for selling this as a full product basically at 30 dollars. At it's current quality this isn't really worth more than maybe 9.99. I don't know what made the devs feel this was ready to begin with. It's concerning to me they felt this quality was acceptable. Another thing to note for other reviewers trying to discredit play time: refund is only allowed at 2 hour mark. You don't need several hours to judge a game quality. And consider the opposite argument that is constantly made that make both sides obseolete. "if you hate the game so much why do you have 3 hours in it?"
Bought the game after watching asmongold play it
Man, I’m glad they optimized the game immediately. I’ve replayed it and it runs really well now on my Steam Deck. I haven’t played much but heard good reviews about this game so I’m gonna rate this blindly and just enjoy it
Game has jank for sure. However, I am really enjoying my time playing. The loot is fun enough and the combat, While not amazing, is good enough and gets better as you level up. I don't know...it just scratches an itch for me and despite its flaws, I am having a good time questing and being a loot goblin. It is not a game that will be for everyone, but it works for me.
Clunky and ghetto as hell!!! This reminds me of the Euro jank we used to get on the 360. It can be fun, but it's not worth $30-$35. It should be half that. .
This is a solid game and does not deserve the hate it is getting. Performance is good with no issues and I enjoyed the humor and the leveling system and combat clearly inspired from elder scrolls series.
I've been following the development of this game for years and I'm so happy it's finally out. I'm impressed that a team of only 7 people managed to create it (their first game!) and the semi-open world feels interesting to explore. It feels like a vibrant mix of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and Fable and I love it! Yes, it's abit clunky sometimes and the start is abit slow but it keeps getting better and better as soon as you get to the first town, get more skills and upgrades. The story itself if quite good and interesting so far. I like that it's not overly complicated and instead throws you right into action and the setting. The performance varies but for most parts I get 40-60fps on my old laptop, max settings 1080p. It seems it is worse for some ppl no matter the specs. The dev team is dedicated to fix performance and bug fixes and I'm happy to support this team and the future of the game!
Old school arpg and i'm really enjoying it. No quest markers wich means you really got to go find what to do or where to go. In others words use your brain instead of just following a marker or path that is laid out for you on map. I also enjoy the classless combat system where you just be whastever you want to be on the same character... go bow one day and spelcaster the other. After seeing some positive reactions here and on YT from some of my fave rpg content creators i immediately bought the game and have certainly not regretted it for one bit after almost 17h of playing! Doing all sidequests and trying to find all hidden stuff aswell i just find it going back to my childhood playing games like the very first Legend of Zelda where you had a map and that's it. Go out explore and try to figure out the hints on where to go. 50+ yo gamer who found some nostalgia while playing this great game.
