Rival mercenaries, bandits, monstrous beasts and even hideous creatures infest the Vale of Vahrin, ready and waiting for their bounties to be claimed.
Master intense real-time action combat and adapt to every challenge, ensuring that no enemy, no matter how powerful, can stand in your way.

Aid the survivors in their personal tales of grief, love and even humour, as they fight back against the overwhelming odds facing Vahrin.
Traverse a world steeped in beauty and mystery, from overgrown city streets to magical caverns and murky bogs, each hand-crafted to test your resolve.
Scour every corner; leaving no stone unturned in your quest to discover hidden treasures, unravel lost mysteries, and claim the spoils of Vahrin for your own.

The city of Vahrin found itself overwhelmed by a swarm of the grotesque, insect-like creatures known as khraiax.
In response, many of the Free Cities, united under the banner of the Combined Order, sent their armies to confront this terrible threat.
But victory was not to be theirs, for while the khraiax stood little chance against the might of the combined forces, a far greater danger rose from beneath the city’s streets.
Vahrin’s king lies dead, along with thousands of soldiers who marched to the city’s aid. Now only its most stalwart defenders remain, desperately fighting to reclaim their beloved home.

Vahrin’s Call stands as its own complete tale, yet it forms just one part of a sweeping epic narrative that spans nations and continents.
What begins as smaller, isolated struggles becomes part of a greater saga, where every character’s trial, every kingdom’s war, and every act of courage or betrayal weaves the tapestry of the unfolding story throughout the world.

This game really scratches my old-school action rpg itch. I like the combat, gear, exploration, side quests, and environments, and especially all the loot and items to find. It freely lets you respec skills on the fly, so you are free to try lots of different loadouts/builds to suit your playstyle, and I like that it uses a Skyrim-like leveling system. I especially like that it mostly lets you to figure things out on your own, without excess hand holding and quest markers (think the opposite of an Ubisoft game), and it rewards exploration. Just a solid, fun game, that was clearly made with a lot of care. It runs great on my 4060 laptop, and with some tweaking is playable on the Legion Go 1. As soon as I saw this I knew it would be my kind of game, but it actually has exceeded my expectations.
I got this game on a whim and am very happy that I did. The feel of the game is nostalgic and brings back some great memories of games from when I was younger. I really enjoy the aesthetic of the game and the mechanics aren't re-writing gaming but are solid and enjoyable. I hope the Devs are proud of their work and I can't wait to see what improvements they make on an already enjoyable experience.

Entry level RPG that lets you play how you want to. 25-40hrs of content based on how fast you go. If you want a simple & enjoyable RPG/kill all gnomes/hack-n-slash, this game is for you. The devs are very active in the discord and have worked tirelessly to polish and refine the game post launch. Worth supporting IMO. The end left me unsatisfied and there was a moment of, "wait - that's it?" Nevertheless, I believe this is a good game worth playing.
Game was fun. Really beautifull world, kind of a New World vibe. The combat was a little bit like Fable, it was ok. Soundtrack is also good. The exploration is very rewarding imo, definitly very cool items/spell hidden in the world. The Developer's Garden was a really cool idea. There was some weird scalling with enemies hp/damage, but i think it was because i changed the difficulty mid playtrough as the game felt very easy in normal mode. Also there where some heavy frame drops in the Academy area, but that might have just been me. Overall i did enjoy my time with the game and would recommend it if you like rpg's with an old school feel to it. Ps: I would add in the future some mage gear, cause if you want to do a caster build you are kinda cooked.
I was very much looking forward to this one, but just can’t get past the clunky and weightless combat. Especially not at this price. If the game improves I’ll gladly pick it up on a sale. But as it is, the barrier to entry is just too much.
A really fun RPG. I Usually dont write reviews but i wanted to leave a positive one since the current score of Mixed is misleading.
Thought process Thought process Here's your full-length ghoulish rundown for Forsaken Realms: Vahrin's Call — the full version of the blurb from your first batch: Forsaken Realms: Vahrin's Call — RECOMMENDED Seven people. Twelve years. Zero generative AI. In an era where studios crank out soulless open worlds on a conveyor belt, a tiny team out of South West England spent over a decade hand-building every inch of this thing — and you can feel that obsessive love bleeding out of every corner. Vahrin's Call is a fantasy action-RPG that reminds you what "handcrafted" actually means, and at $35 it's one of the most quietly special things to hit Steam this year. The heart of it is freedom. There are no rigid classes here to lock you in a coffin — Vahrin's Call uses a classless progression system that lets you build whatever kind of monster you want, mixing and matching skills to forge a character that's genuinely yours. Want a spell-slinging brute who also picks locks? Go for it. The character customization runs deep, and the game trusts you to experiment rather than shoving you down a pre-dug grave. But the real magic is the world itself. Because it was built by hand instead of spat out by algorithms, exploration actually rewards you — hidden puzzles tucked in forgotten corners, secrets that only the curious will ever find, and a sense that a real human being placed everything you stumble across on purpose. It wears its influences openly — critics have called it a love child of Fable and Crimson Desert — but the soul underneath is entirely its own. Full English voice acting and full controller support round out a package that punches well above the weight of its seven-person studio. More than 200,000 people wishlisted it before launch, and that grassroots hunger tells you something. What'll gnaw at you, and let's be honest about it: ambition this big from a team this small was never going to come out flawless. A project of this scope will have rough edges — the occasional jank, spots where the polish of a hundred-person AAA machine just isn't there. If you demand the seamless, focus-tested sheen of a mega-budget release, you'll notice where the seams show. This is a passion project, not a corporate product, and it wears both the beauty and the imperfection of that on its sleeve. The ghoulish truth: I'll take a beautiful, human-made labor of love over a polished, lifeless husk every single time — and that's exactly what this is. Vahrin's Call is proof that heart and craft still beat budget and algorithms. Support the little studio that bled twelve years into this, build your perfect monster, and bury a weekend in a world that was actually made for you. Just don't expect it to hold your hand.
I quite like this game. did have to turn a few setting to medium and all screen shake to 0,so it doesn't give me a headache ,but gameplay wise I love it. easy combat with a lot of varieties. no unnecessary stress or grinding. people mentioned is similar to fable, unfortunately never play it, as I'm to young for that
unfortunately had to return it before even trying the game at all. does not support esdf movement keybinds. hard deal breaker.
Trailer look way better than the actual game , UI feel cheap , gameplay is clunky , when you loot item they hide the notification in the bottom right and that is just what I notice in the intro .. First impression is important and this is not it .
