Full of challenging puzzles
A really great point and click adventure, just like the other games in the series. The other one that's 3D is also good (and free). FM Studio have got to be THE most underrated puzzle game developer at the moment. If you like puzzle games you will LOVE Forgotten Hill. It has logic puzzles, spatial puzzles, surreal puzzles, environmental puzzles, everything! And they tie it all together expertly in a twisted lore with thrilling, chilling elements to the tales that will keep you coming back for more! The best thing about Forgotten Hill's lore is that they haven't made it too convoluted and fantastical to the point where you barely understand what the point of everything is *cough* Rusty Lake *Cough*.

Perhaps one of the strongest entries in the series. The game tells several separate stories that are short and to the point, but still require some thought to solve. I never ran into any truly hopeless moments. Even when I got stuck, taking a break and coming back later with a fresh mind was enough to solve the puzzle without looking up a guide. The core gameplay is the same as always: find a code and figure out where it goes. There are also a few mini-games here and there
A wonderful game series. The painting storyline was my absolute favorite, and hunting down the hidden achievements was such a blast. But, honestly, the Egyptian museum quests? Big nope. Especially the one with the marbles - total patience killer. I didn’t even bother finishing it and missed the last achievement. I feel like this type of quest is completely unnecessary since it relies more on luck than on actual brainwork.
Forgotten Hill Tales takes a whole new approach to the series by having 5 unique short spin-off stories that are related to Forgotten Hill lore. Even though the puzzles are weaker than the ones in Mementoes, the short story format propels this entry much further than the other ones. In my opinion this format works much better for the series and I really would like to see more Forgotten Hill games in this format. Since i have now completed every entry in the Forgotten Hill bundle and saw how much they improved their games after Disillusion, i can wholeheartedly recommend buying the bundle.
