Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Seemed like a neat concept, but the system for getting food and water is tedious and annoying. Since you have to eat and drink ever 5 minutes of real time, that gets annoying fast. I gave it the two hours deadline and at that point I honestly felt like it would just sit in my library and never be opened again. Its similar to Raft in a lot of ways, but something just didn't click with me. It is a unique idea and had some neat features for sure, but for the most part it felt like the only major differences were extra steps to do things.
Fun exploration/builder - Fallout crossed with a Zeppelin.. I've got more than my money's worth already; I did impulse buy this on sale. Newbie tip: reduce difficulty settings -> difficulty increases grind time. Game world is generated on the fly, so has few fixed locations and no permanent map. Quests seem to be great at spawning needed things "nearby" but you'll have to look for them. Clues/markers are in game but not obvious or well explained; the learning curve is much of the fun and gratification. Not a AAA big budget title, most importantly game is not a turd !!! Dev team put some love into this, and they are very active in Steam Forums - Respect!

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 28: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Is this a great game? Not yet. Is it still actively being worked on? Yes. Is it a good enough game that I hold out hope and keep checking back? Yes it is, and yes I do. Imagine building an airship to navigate a ruined atmosphere on an environmentally decimated earth. That's literally 90% of the game. There is a plot that I played several updates ago that was interesting enough. The airship construction can be quite a bit of fun. It doesn't have a lot of environmental variety. I think with a moderate overhaul of the tiny islands of accessible stuff in the world to have more variety, more consistently visible signs of life, this could be akin to an airborne cousin of Subnautica 1. Not as good, but I can see the resemblance in gameplay, though not as detailed here. Yet. I come back and play, I enjoy what's here, and I hold out hope. Cuz I think this is a good game.
There is a lot of effort put into this game, but the whole is less than the sum of its parts. I must compliment the novelty of the setting, the tension in the raw survival aspects, and, at times, the visual appeal of the game. But the plodding on-foot navigation, sparseness of true interactivity in the maps, and clunky interface hold it back. As inventive as it is, it feels stiff to play, especially in combat. Nonetheless, I look forward to the next effort from these developers.
If you want a scavenging game where the ENTIRE game is just wandering around collecting ♥♥♥♥ and building stuff, then this might be for you, but everywhere I went in the first 90mins was empty, navigation was annoying, inventory management wasnt great either. Just a big nothing burger of a game... I don't know why dev's think people want this boring gameplay of search and build. Another 80% steam game which is rubbish... thank god for steam refund.
I will admit I have not played it in a while recently but I want to get a few things on record, and why I would rather recommend the game than not do so. First of all, a lot of the claims that the game is extremely repetitive... they are true. That is by design, and whether or not that is a good thing is for you to decide. The game is certainly more fun with multiple people, but all in all it is very much playable as a solo player too. I saw some people complaining that they couldn't unlock certain things, well, truth be told, that is what happens if you just aimlessly run and fly around and not pay attention to where you are supposed to be and what you are supposed to do at the current stage of your progress. The game allows you a lot of freedom when it comes to exploration but if you want to unlock certain tech, you have to go to certain locations to unlock pre-requisits. And there is nothing wrong with that. I can however agree to that this is sometimes a bit... overly convoluted and messy. The game is closer to Raft than any of the other open world survival games, in that technically your ship is stationary and the world moves around it. And much like in Raft, you land on small islands (towers) and farm your resources. The devs have also been extremely responsive to feedback, not only listening to it but also taking it into consideration and realising some of the requested features over the years. They frequently provide updates to the game, hotfixes, and new content or fixes. This games problem is it's selling point: The verticality. People will have much higher expectations, some even unfounded, others fair, than what is actually being advertised, and provided. That's what also causes some more negative opinions as of recent. It's difficult to satisfy this games foundation 360°. It's foundation is very strong, and the devs very capable, but the volume of potential is too high for it's own good, so people will complain more than be realistic and fair. For ~20-25 bucks you will certainly get your entertainment out of it. The full price of 30 bucks is also quite fair, but more of a risk if you aren't exactly sure what you are bying into, and potentially coming in with a completely wrong set of expectations.
I have played this game since the start and expected repeat updates which happened. I have thoroughly enjoyed every single one, and yes I had to restart a few times. The devs did inform us of this and I felt that starting out again was a great way to reinvent things. Yes, there is some grind but with games of this type it is expected. Forever Skies has been an everchanging forward moving game, far surpassing what I expected at initial launch, Good job y"all.
good
Latest update kinda ruined it for me. All the system changes ruined my airship and I really don't feel like restarting. Guess I'm moving onto a new game... EDIT: Thank you Dev for addressing this! I had no issues building my ship as it was after the update. I would totally recommend this game now. The exploration and growth cycle feel really natural and cozy to me. I can get lost in the atmosphere of the world. If you played and enjoyed Subnautica I think Forever Skies shares a lot of the same concepts, more than other survival games. Flying through the dusty skies feels a lot like exploring the depth of the ocean.
