Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The truth is in the details.
In Forensics: Crime Scene Detective, you are the scientific authority that provides investigators with the facts. Your work begins when the sirens fade and silence settles over the crime scene.

With a cool head and a trained eye, you enter apartments, bars, and basements where something unimaginable has happened — or is said to have happened. Equipped with professional tools, you search for what others miss: a subtle fingerprint on a wine glass, a deleted message on a smartphone, a tiny blood spatter that casts doubt on a statement.

From Crime Scene to Laboratory:
Securing evidence is only the beginning. In the lab, the evidence tells its story. You compare DNA profiles, reconstruct bullet trajectories, decrypt digital devices, and piece together fragments into a clear overall picture. Your analyses incriminate perpetrators — or exonerate the innocent. Not every bloody crime scene is a murder. And not everything that seems obvious is the truth.

“Based on the experience and insights of experts from the State Criminal Police Office Rhineland-Palatinate (LKA RLP).”
With professional guidance from the State Criminal Police Office Rhineland-Palatinate, the game portrays forensic work as authentically as possible. Experience cases drawn from real life: sober, logical, and relentless in their evaluation of evidence. Find the traces. Analyze the facts. Reveal the truth.

Realistic Forensics:
Use authentic tools such as DNA swabs, fingerprint powder, ballistic trajectory rods, and digital forensic tools.
16 authentic Cases, Real Methods:
Missions are inspired by real scenarios and based on the experience and insights of real experts from the State Criminal Police Office Rhineland-Palatinate (LKA RLP).
Crime Scene Work & Laboratory Analysis:
The gameplay loop challenges you twice — first through meticulous crime scene investigation, then through logical data analysis in the lab.
Incriminate or Exonerate:
Your work determines the fate of suspects. Discover whether it was self-defense, murder, an accident, or a staged crime scene.
Your Instinct Matters:
You decide which traces are relevant. Overlooked evidence can leave a case unsolved.

This games great and slow paced for those just trying to relax yet challenge themselves just enough to feel accomplished after every mission. Would i say it's worth the price? at its current moment no. Its a nice new take on this genre and i did enjoy the missions , but it feels unpolished at points the lacking of inventory and a flashlight to see better would be nice . It also feels lacking on the story aspect of each case and pretty repetitive after a few missions . Read on another review that if you don't get the score high enough you won't unlock the next missions and that did help when i got stuck after the tutorials.
I quite enjoyed the game, took me about 12 hours to complete to the current V0.3 release, so im hoping many more cases need dusting for prints, photographing and comparing. Would recommend to others Now the Feedback, I would suggest splitting the digital analysis into 2 parts, part 1 de-encryption (all devices take 1 minute for this part), part 2 downloading of data (for chip scanning 15 seconds (30GB), phones 25 seconds (100GB), laptops 45 seconds (1TB)) with a progress bar and 'files copied of 'x' GB' and the ability for it to fail the de-encryption/scan as well as having upgradable tech. Maybe make it possible to 'carry' the equipment cases to relocate them closer to where we are working? or maybe a selection wheel Could you give an indicator around evidence to aid with placing markers, many times you place one only to remove it later as it 'overlaps'. An idea for addition to the game: A multi-stage case where after initially concluding the case, you will conclude 2 more other cases and then an email will appear that reads 'reopened case' that either opens more of the map to the player or a totally different map, for example, [shots fired, 2 persons deceased, initial map shows 2 bullet holes, 1 gun (which doesn't match both retrieved bullets) many fingerprints (some of the victims, some prior convicts and maybe 1 unknown, same for DNA samples), the first bulk of evidence will have 1 or 2 sets of prints and/or DNA that do not match anyone, but further police digging shows up 1 for reference, location unknown, later on you will get the email, they found the missing suspect, they were shot, you investigate, gather the evidence, tie up the missing evidence and close the case.... or so you think; who's the person who shot the prime suspect?.... the case continues]

PS: Läuft "Out of the Box "auch auf Linux (Mint 22.3 Zena)
Not a bad game where you play a Forensic person collecting all the evidence. It took me 10h to finish it. Couple of annoying thing like not being able to carry several tools in same time. At least the camera and yellow numbered sign! So it is leading to unnecessary back and forth in the crime scene. Also few cases had the same venue. Not a big issue on its own to be honest. I would have just preferred to have 14 different places. Because we are not a investigator detective, it does become uninteresting to read the case files and statement. After the few couple of cases, I have stopped to care, and just collect all evidence and analysing them. Speaking of analysing evidence, I couldn't be bothered to do proper matching of the fingerprints, I only just looked at it and "match / do not match". Basically it is a decent game if you like the idea of collecting evidence and matching them. If you don't like doing that, or except to run/investigate a crime scene, then pass, as this game is not that.
I wasn't sure I was going to like this game, sometimes these kinds of games are a bit too... convoluted? But this one isn't and I'm honestly having fun with it. One thing I'll say is the name of the game is kinda misleading, you're not a detective, you're a Forensics Technician. You don't decide anyone's fate, you just deal with the facts. Collect evidence, analyse and send it out. Starting off with the tutorial, it does an okay job, I would prefer if it was a bit more guided and all at once instead of being separated in 4 cases, but what is there now works well enough. UI wise, it's okay, simple and with no nonsense. The lab equipment and field tools are easy to use and the evidence doesn't seem to be that difficult to analyze, maybe except the Bullets since even if the matching is correct, it always seems to be a "Meh" score for some reason.. The cases are varied but they aren't anything crazy mysterious, they're just there to set the scene for you to collect stuff. The areas are mostly closed off but there are some that are a bit too open, easy to focus on the crime scene itself and forget that there may be stuff hidden around the map. Unfortunately the game decides that even if you solve the case perfectly, because you missed 1 or 2 things that would not matter for the case, you still get penalized, especially annoying when it comes to fingerprints and stains which are pretty small. Overall there's not a lot to say about the game, it's pretty straightforward, fun if you're into these kinds of things. But I can see that it becomes a bit annoying to deal with the way this game does things, it's fun, but in moderation.
Nice game
