I think that the game has good bones, the AI workers actually work really well and haven't seen many instances of them getting stuck or not doing work, and the gameplay is fluid and seems pretty bug-free. I find the problem with the game is that there is no real progression in the items that you make, making a Tier 1 Lettuce Salad is exactly the same as making a Tier 52 Pineapple bowl, the machines are the same, only giving it a different initial product. There is no automation between machines which makes it extremely lackluster. Some of the later recipes could have multiple ingredients, but the process is the same with just a different packing machine, a Thinwall machine or a Thinwall machine (2 in 1). I hope that they make the game more automation like, right now you could just run one or two products and just remove older recipes and just make tons of cash off of one or two items. Edit ----------------------------- After playing considerably longer, trying to 100% the game, it is almost impossible with some sort of automation, which the game lacks. This game being released fully as 1.0 and out of Early Access was probably not a great idea, even though playable it still needs a lot of work to be a proper automation game. If it was never the intent to be able to fully automate everything then I guess it's fine for a cheap game, but it *could* be a very good game if more automation pieces were put in.
100 love the game
If you enjoy automation and management games, this is a solid factory sim with satisfying progression, plenty of machines to optimize, and that familiar urge to keep tweaking your production line for better efficiency.
If you are looking for automation game skip this one, all production chains are exactly the same, there's no thinking, no planning. Mid-late game is a boring slog, possibly with memory leak, saving or exiting game takes hours. Devs push unneeded and untested updates that brake the game. Whole mid - late game feels untested, so many weird stuff is happening. After playing the game for 40h I probably know more about it than devs.
Can't really recommend this game, this is a very lazy attempt for an automation / simulator game. Most recipes are 1:1 the same, later tier recipes maybe have 1 machine difference compared to an earlier one. No creativity, no feel of progression. THe only positive i can say about this game is that the empolyees are very useful unlike other simulation games.
seems like a fun game, I couldn't get very far in the game though as the constant back and forth filling delivery trucks and moving stuff into storage at the end of the day made me motion sick.
Put out conveyours to fill machines with labels/glass. Turns out it only works for the food items and not the label/glasses. Apparently only an NPC worker can do that job, or yourself obviously. But i was hoping to save myself running to the machines restocking them then back to toss the box, grab another one and run back. but no. Why have conveyours at all then. Just use the klonky emplyees for everything. Man this game just wasted my time and im annoyed.
