The Flux is not keen on giving away its secrets, and you’re one of them. Sail a vast planet under a blanket of stars and use your tools and wits to remind yourself of what was lost and what could come next. An open world mystery about understanding the end of the world.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
You’ve been absent. Perhaps you once called this world home, but it moved on without you. Where were you? How long has it been? Alone on a boat in a sea of Flux, you set off without destination to find answers.
The entire planet lies before you. No matter where you go, you find a unique trace of the past. Lost journal letters. Remains of a great temple. Derelict research papers. Ancient conversations between peers. Soon you start making connections, and previous discoveries grow in weight.
Knowledge is progress. There is no combat, waypoints, or skill trees - just you, your ship, your tools, and the waiting world.
Constellations rotate overhead as you glide over the waves. You learn to sail by the stars, using the sky as your guide.
Each location you explore offers up new mysteries and answers. You take note of your discoveries in your journal for later.
You pause after reviewing your notes. The strange puzzle from a previous location begins to make sense. You know what to do now.

Reviews
This game is deeply immersing and has full and complex lore rivaling the quality of what you'd expect from a AAA game like the Skyrim or Dark Souls. Beyond a technical introduction to the mechanics, you are fully on your own to explore and discover. The world is both serenely empty & excitingly full of unique locations in every direction. Most of the progression is based on solving text-based riddles/questions that require finding & extrapolating lore from other locations. There is no flashing "Here is the answer to that riddle!" -- you just need to keep track of what you've seen and actually play along with the story of the world. I think another reviewer put it best -- Flux Empyrean isn't just trying to guide you to its end. I'm not even sure if reaching the end really matters to me. The joy is in finding how pieces fit together, finding notes that give context to other information you've come across, seeing strange new locations that you might never need to return to, appreciating a beautiful sunrise... it is a game for wanderers.
as a another steam review said this game perfectly recreates what exploring in outer wilds was like, but youre sailing on one big planet instead, and then putting those pieces together to solve a puzzle and get more lore for somewhere else. this game is also weirdly scary with its ambience and random hallucinations, kinda like a gmod map thats completely empty.

This is now a placeholder due to today's update fixing the issue that I'd been running into, thank you chill, I'm now excited to properly get into the game :)
lowkey insane find, elaborate puzzles and story!
Sailing in space is my number one vibe, and this perfectly captures the same high Sci fi nature of floating through the unkown and pondering the mysteries of the universe as Outer Wilds. Difficult to initially understand but if you LOVE the feeling of being on the precipice of huge discovery and you're a fan of the stars and vast lore, this game is incredible and deep.
Intriguing exploration that doesn't hold your hand
...what?....the ♥♥♥♥....?
Flux Empyrean, for me, sparked a wonderful mixture of mystery, exploration and confusion (in the best way). If you have played The Outer Wilds and you are looking for a game that can rival that experience, Flux Empyrean is the way to go.
First review I've made I usually am not a big fan of trying to piece out lore from scattered bits of information, but this has got me hooked. I've started writing notes on the side and trying to draw a map, which isnt thectype of commitment I usually bring to my games. The feeling of seeing a shape in the distance and realizing just how much bigger it is than you thought once you approach it is awe inspiring. Very good experience so far
