one of the best city builders i've ever played
Flotsam is a charming and relaxing city builder that can easily pull you in for hours. You start with a small floating settlement and gradually grow it into a thriving community, providing shelter, food, and jobs for your drifters. One of the things I enjoyed most is the scavenging aspect of the game. Nearly everything you encounter can become a valuable resource. From flooded ruins and abandoned cars sticking out of the water to remnants of old factories and even floating garbage drifting across the sea, there's always something worth collecting and recycling. Watching your settlement expand through ingenuity and resourcefulness feels very rewarding. As you progress, you'll unlock new technologies and innovations that improve the lives of your people and allow your floating city to become more efficient and self-sustaining. The game's atmosphere, art style, and overall pacing make it easy to lose track of time. I personally spent around 3.5 hours with Flotsam and had a great time. While I don't see myself continuing my playthrough, that comes down to my own preferences rather than any fault of the game itself. During my time with it, I found it enjoyable, well made, and easy to get immersed in. If you enjoy city builders, resource management, and the idea of building a community on a floating world made from salvaged materials, Flotsam is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared to spend quite a few hours exploring, scavenging, and expanding your settlement.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is incredibly addicting. Very well made and adds a unique spin to the genre. Personally I don't see this being a game you pour hundreds of hours in but it is definitely worth the money
This game is a fun little management game. I do get lost sometimes when I don't read the dialogue closely enough.
Complete all quests by 150 days. Built & used everything. Got an abundance of all resources by the end (didnt know it was coming, I was preparing for any other quest to come). Overall - A good run. Some similarity with Oxygen not included in terms of drifters (your people) management (setting priorities and assigning skill points to different professions) although more relaxing and simpler. Early game pretty easy to get a hold of basic control and gameplay, while having enough challenges to keep you engaged, mostly around balancing the production and managing the labours to have enough resources to get by and expand the town. Mid game when most buildings have been unlocked and built, it is fun to play around with the town layout, reviewing the production chain to optimize the transportation of goods and materials. Managing the power generation and the power grid is also a major task at this point. After midgame once I have managed a stable and efficient production chain for everything, the game become less challenging. A bit more dramatic and difficult towards the end-game would definitely make it more interesting. By the last 30 days or so, I'm really just waiting for the newly unlocked research items to get researched, build the end-game structure, and get done with it. Its more routine than thrill. As of now I dont think there is much replayability value. If they release DLC for new maps, quests, maybe added mechanism/ gameplay/ specialized profession, I would totally go for it. All in all, good game for city building and resource management fan.
This game was a blast! If you like city builders go for it. Architect mode was the best thing they added!!!!!
The gameplay loop from the beginning is pretty much the same late game from what i experienced. I don't understand the appeal. It just tedium. The biggest downside is you don't really get any better or efficient. You can craft better workshops, obtain specialists, and research new technology. Despite those investments it doesn't seem to make village life better. Your reward is usually having yet another niche resource to collect. Beautification never gets cheaper. You upgraded your boat with a generator and electricity and now you can move a little bit further to some random island to collect wood you don't really need at the expense of tools. Trying to improve walkways and rearrange buildings is also a hassle. Everything takes so long even with maxed skills for villagers. They also seem to not do the task assigned to them or get confused and i have to reassign it. The UI is annoying to navigate. I tried to enjoy it but its pretty boring.
