Flirt Balls is a simple 2D minimalist 1-button action/reflexes mobile-like game. You control an endlessly moving ball, and you can loop around other balls by pressing on your iPhone screen. Letting go catapults you off at a trajectory. You earn points by creating various patterns like looping around 2-3 balls in sequence etc. There's a "flirting" theme that doesn't really do much to take away from the very shallow, pointless and unenjoyable nature of the game. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic low quality art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the mediocre 2D visuals. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes this is a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Flirt Balls didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is "Famous", attained very easily, and only around 22 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game, less than half the players. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. That's right, only 3. This is a pitiful enough number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is remarkable, but also to be expected. This complete and utter rejection of the game from gamers should be a keen information point for anyone considering buying shovelware like this. Gamers just didn't take this seriously, and for good reason. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. Flirt Balls is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam.

Симпатичная и увлекательная игра, напоминающая старую добрую змейку – здесь приятная графика, понятный геймплей, игра проста в освоении и играется на одном дыхании. Не занимает много времени, но в то же время весьма занятная и залипательная.

Играя в это творение, невольно вспоминаются школьные "баталии" на тетрадных листках: Морской Бой на скучных уроках или просто соревнование "кто кому больше чиркнет на полях". Сама игра очень увлекательная игра и понятная массам – имеется примитивная, но весьма приятная для глаз графика, интуитивно-понятный геймплей. Очевидно, произведение делалось с уклоном в "таймкиллеры", и у разработчиков это получилось: игра действительно помогает развеиться и скоротать скучный часок. Рекомендую всем, кто хочет и ностальгировать, и приятно провести время. Моя объективная оценка: 7.5/10.
