after the update all my saved files are lost...
Wofür braucht man eigentlich Lederhosen hier?
Great game, brings back memories from when i was a young boy. Completed game and crashed after it said "The End" after all the credits and the blimp going into the sunset. Maybe this is due to an emulator or virtual machine problem...? Hopefully it recorded the completion. Great Game enjoyed it. Played this many moons ago and could never finish it for some reason!
Good classic 90s point and click. Humor is rather bad, but puzzles are easy enough to not get stuck for hours and hours. Don't need a walkthrough to enjoy this game and complete it in decent time (under 10h).
interesting game
I've wanted to play this game when it came out and saw a demo floppy bundled with some magazine, but at the time my 286 couldn't run the game. After playing tens if not over hundred PnC games during the years, I finally gave it a go. Well, the game itself is okay, but not as good as the ones it is often referencing (Monkey Island, Indiana Jones). The new "25th Anniversary Edition" is very glitchy, the UI often doesn't work as it should, and I already once lost all saves. How I could fix the greyed out buttons for continuing or loading the last save, was going through steam to the install and then saves folder (FOTAQ/Saved games), open fotaq.ini, change last_save_slot=-1 to your last save eg. last_save_slot=6. Wouldn't recommend the 25th version, I guess better to play the original.
A decent point&click with plenty of tongue in cheek humor and puns. Look no further than the protagonist's name.
An underrated gem from the past. The controls were a little iffy, especially when scrolling on the item wheel, but if you can get through that, you'll have an enjoyable experience. Maybe someday we will see a sequel!
