Terrible UI. Seems to be broken. Unplayable. I have a short playtime because you can only get about 3 minutes into the game, but I might be wrong. Here's a list of thoughts: - Tutorial seems to be a JPG image with red text written on top of the screen to "explain" how things work. This tutorial is incredibly vague and leaves out basic information such as "some weapons fire auto, most fire manually." How do I fire manually? - Nonexistent feedback on the effectiveness of any weapons or even if they're doing anything at all. The same weapon would fire sometimes, and other times it wouldn't. No idea why. - User interface is generally difficult to understand. The images don't really explain what you're activating or why you would want to do that. The game would greatly benefit from hover-over text that reminds you what things do or how to use them. - Whatever writing is in the game is very ineffective at conveying information. - I got to the first encounter and managed to get all the opposing fighters to 0 HP, but the fight never ended. My fighters/ship continue to shoot endlessly. Sat there and watched it for a few minutes before giving up. - Doesn't seem like there is a menu that you can activate once you're in the same. If you want to quit you'll have to open Task Manager and end the process or alt-tab and hit close. I can't speak to if the concept has any potential because I don't really understand what I was playing. Basically it's a space roguelike similar to FTL but more hands on? I don't understand what the hook is. This game needs better UI, better writing and some actual guidance. P.S. got this game as a gift from a friend
Hi, the fact that you care is a plus. I am a little old/dumb to try to understand new concepts. So to catch me (or kinds of me) you still need to polish the GUI. More simpler. It is still cumbersum to play. As i understand you want to make a simple clicker, deep tactical little strategical game. For that the gui must change for every single ship (even if they all have the same). I still do not get the point on how to fight: My advice click 1 ship, screen opes for config. give attack order with right. and so on. !!!! Anyway, it was intressting to see that the debris of enemy ships can be salvaged ! !!!! Nice :) -------------------------- Everything is ok, BUT the UI....the UGLY UI! I could not get even past the tutorial. Its sad, and i think the game is a gem in core. My advice is to go to a greater resolution and then you can rework the UI as per ship. For example the shield and the engineers needed, why do i must left/right click it? PURE NONSENSE! You marka ship, the shield screen is shown, you click the number of engineer left to the shield and right you see the level of the shield you can have and also the level it has etc.... Kiss does not mean kits: Keep it simple and slick does not mean keep it "too" simple. At least you make this game for us and not yourselves.... Please anounce if you have changed things so i can replay and change my vote :) By the way, nice Amiga music and arts ;)
