I was a supporter of this game on patreon. The developer is very earnest and sincere in engaging his audience and does his best to accommodate their preferences and passionate in making the game a success. And it shows. The game has several routes for the player to choose from of with good game length and one similarity between routes is the large volume of quality CGs each route has (except True love), which makes for an enjoyable experience. The game also caters to a variety of preferences so there is likely something in the game which suits you. Some QoL changes the game could have would be an autoplay function to faciliate a hands free experience as well as a skip function when exploring other routes.
It's initially set up like any slice-of-life hentai RPG: Iris got trackers for Morality, Lust, and Charm, and there's even a Trust Level for your husband-to-be. There's also a nice day-to-day cycle, where you find or go to work and experience events before heading back home at the end of the day. Much later, there's even an option to pass the time watching TV at home to fast forward to the afternoon. However, the game fails in the design of its various so-called "paths". Once you "lock" yourself into them (as the game refers to the one, maybe two choices, at the start of the "path", you're no longer free to roam around: EACH DAY will fast forward to just the relevant event for that path so you're unable to do anything else in the city. A little bit smarter design would have ran these "paths" along with the actual game parts instead of them just being a long cutscene. This gives the impression that the path has not been fleshed out as should have been if this was a true slice-of-life RPG. I have only experienced one of these paths and gotten the "Hero" ending. I am hoping the taking the other choices would give me a different ending that is a win for Iris rather than Robert. The railroaded paths even had bugs (like suddenly being provided the "Real Time Event" tutorial when there have been a lot of RTEs before that). The sex scenes are hot but I cannot recommend this due to the janky design and the lack of real choices within a path. Still I'd play this again. I didn't lower Iris' Morality for nothing.
DO NOT buy this game on Steam, buy it on Patreon. To get the uncensored version of this game (if you dont you only get the Robert route) you need to go to Kagura's website and download the patch. As of writing this, the Steam version is very behind of the Patreon version. They said they will upload another patch when all of the DLC is finished, which is not until AT LEAST MID 2022. I do enjoy this game and would recommend it, but before you buy this game check Kagura's website and Heaven Studios discord and Patreon to see if the Steam version is up to date with the Patreon version.
I can't really recommend this game. The art is great, and the premise is EXCELLENT, but it drops the ball entirely when it comes to gameplay and exploration, the city vastly feels empty, there's isn't a whole lot to do. You're railroaded very early on, and when you finally get your freedom to explore you quickly realize you're locked into a path and now you can't escape it, which drags you to one of the endings. So while it is an excellent story, which multiple kinks and an excellent corruption of Ayame, it's just far too frustrating to play through and there just isn't enough content. If you do get it, make sure you follow the grocery shop path, and watch the twin sister ending, it might legit be the hottest thing in this world and nearly made me want to give this game a positive review based on that ending alone.
One of the biggest and best 2D games out there in my mind. • Rich on story, decisions, sidecontent and minigames. • Tons of different routes - Play the main protagonist the way you want her to be! • Artwork and scenes are beautiful - And there is a literally a ton of them. • Remember to get tanned - One of the features that will completely improve every scene. Don't forget to install Kagura patch - Else it will be a different experience!
This game was released in an incomplete state and does not receive the same updates as the Patreon version. While the story is fun and the in game world is big this does not feel anywhere close to complete.

Although I have played this game before, I purchased it because I want to get it in my H-games library. It is one of the best (4.5~5/5) in the H-games history, so I just bought it when I saw it. However, I recommend you not to buy it in Steam. The latest version of this game is 1.15F. However, even after a 3.5gb patch from its publisher, Kagura Games, you can only play 1.10 version of this game. Moreover, there's a review that criticizing this 7 months ago.(Steam v1.1 and web v1.3 at that time) Which means, the publisher has completely withdrawn from the game and you can't expect any support from the publisher. You can purchase this from Patreon with only $10, so go to Patreon. If you like H-games, then you won't be disappointed.
I want to cater why this game has mixed review. First thing first, this game has been developed for a long time, maybe 8 years. The early part of the game is really as the bad reviews said. 1. Railroad you at earliest. 2. Empty city 3. 640 x 480 resolution (I have the solution) 4. The current version is 1.10 when the Patreon has 1.13. 1-3 is partially because this game is very old. Like back then the developer were a more bit ameteur-ish if I'm allowed to say that. Also perhaps they using the older version of RPG maker. 4. Well idk how much dono you need to unlock the download patch there. The lowest possible is $1. 1.10 has already have a lot contents, the missing ones are perhaps babysitter ending, and bestiality. Well, i do hope we could get the rest from Kagura, maybe a DLC? But for now it is what it is. 1. Story railroad At the latter stages, you can have more freedom to roam. There is an obligatory route you must follow at the earlier stages. The Melvin (Pub), Gracias, and the Convinience story. It is like, you must say 'NO' to any of those to get access to the latter branches. Except you're really want to clear one. Save game are plentiful and sometimes it warns you when to save. No worries, there's all CG unlock cheat also. If you delved deep into a particular branch (not counting the obligatory ones except the Garcias), it will railroad you for sure. But it is for the good, because when it does, the story really kicks in. Pre Melvin- Garcias- Pre Convinience---->Real branches including main Melvin and Convinience branches, also many more. The obligatory branch also when Ayame's Moral meter matters, when it goes down below 60 at the end of it, it will unlock another low moral branches while locking the opposites. I don't think this is a spoiler, kinda giving you the bone structure of the branches in the game. 2. Empty city This is a bit difficult for me to explain, but the game has a lot places, and is quite huge for an RPG maker game. The city isn't empty per se. BUT, you have to unlock into a certain stages to get more functionality from the said city. This is when people, well including me, feels the city is empty. Like walking into an unnecessarily huge space without having meaningful interaction with something. Even then some of the new places or endgame places still feels empty because the game is still BETA according to the developer and still ongoing changes for we don't know when it will be finished. Only when you unlocked the necessary condition, you'll feel each corner of the city has more and more something to do with. The city is getting more lively. It is not like the best decision to design something like that, since the condition to unlock the part of the city is quite obscure, also getting this uneasy feeling of emptiness at the beginning. But I kinda understand why the developer need to restrict a certain interaction to avoid errors in the future, since the game is still under development. And mind you, it isn't like I feel the developer is a pro at beginning, but definitely is getting better. I'm coming from I could see a massive art improvement from the old, obligatory branches, and the true ending, to the newly added ones. Like bruh, what kind of pose is this ? Until wow this is hot. Also better QoL, better crafted scenes, as the game getting closer to the end content. 3. 640x480 Use NIS, Nvidia Image Scaling. I'm using a third party program named Loseless Scaling (from Steam) to scale the game full screen 1440p. I do not endorse Loseless Scaling but it is what i use. IMHO it is a godsend app if you often playing any sort of Japanese classic Game Maker games. If you're using an nVidia card, you can try to hook it into the GeForce experience, define it as a game to enable the NIS. I usually using sharpness 7 or 8. Not a definitive solution but it will look much better than otherwise. Since 4 is already well explained above, i'll discuss how is the other aspect game . .The story telling and art definitely loose at the beginning, but getting much better at the latter stages of the game. About more than 80% are the better ones. .There are some bugs, like the shower bug, it will erase your character sprite. Also 2 other bugs I've found which stuck the character into the wall. Save often, i have like 25 slots used and i've saved 1100 times. They're game breaking bugs but isn't completely necessary at times. I mean you don't have to shower, the wall stuck can be avoided if you pick the other answer, which is a straight up better one. .Some of the H-scene is animated, and do have a lot of fetishes. Maybe less BDSM, no scat and gore, and no Bestiality if you don't own the DLC. Scenes are leaning to Hardcore in general. .No wardrobe, so you cannot change your character appearance except for skin tanning and pubic hair... Which is kinda weird since the game has a lot of costume (only available at the right moment). .The story is mostly NTR, with corruption if you choose to. It was engaging to read. And i do not read that often. The narrative is supported by a craft of scenes. So it conveys more than just reading words. .No battle of any sort. .Music is surprisingly has wide and airy feeling...Not the nicest BGM ever but it is above average. .Download the game patch at Kagura's website first to unlock the most of the content. Just Google Fleeting Iris Kagura. .I recommend to open the game setting, then set the game walking speed to 4. Set the autosave ON. Also mouse support, it sometimes handy. .Has basic H-counter Do i recommend the game? Hell yeah, only perhaps this and Celesphonia has my stamp of approval for the amount of sexiness contained in an eroge. Maybe when discounted if you're not certain.
absolutely great game! however it should be mentioned that some games on here are the child-friendly versions and once you buy the game you have to go here: https://www.kaguragames.com/product/fleeting-iris-patch/ (highlight > crt+C to copy link) to actually download the real game itself, which i honestly cannot fathom why this is the case at all and nobody or nothing has ever mentioned this once, which in the first place is why i honestly thought i was getting ripped off at first... my only gripe is the game window is really small and doesn't have any options to increase size that i am aware of, this game is awesome and is everything advertised 5/5 ...please Kagura/Starke, please let people know vital information like that
