About
A short, cute, colorful 2D platformer inspired by the energy and exploration of Kirby's Adventure. The round structure borrows ideas from Star Fox 64 - you pick your path through a series of levels in pursuit of a high score. The levels themselves meanwhile blend the sprawling nature of Sonic 1's levels with the room-structure of Kirby's Adventure's levels.

this game quickly became one of my favorites and a little obsession of mine there's something really beautiful and calming about just walking around in this world, the levels are filled with secrets and beautiful areas, all with their own unique visuals and mechanics that you will only find on certain runs, and each character feels like it could be one person favorites, all tucked in little corners of the levels for you to find. this game just feels so alive and charming, the amazing authentic music, the unique places that are every way you look, the cute characters and their fun little abilities, the world feels so real and vast that i cant help but smile each time i open the game. this game feels like a passion project in the best way possible, which makes every little detail of this game so lovely to expirience. i also incredibly appreciate how innovative this game feels, most games that attempt to be retro take an old game and changes it a little so new player will feel familiarity and nostalgia while playing it since it reminds them of a previous more known game, but this game understands that what made a lot of retro games memorable is their creativity in a time where standards didn't really exist and needed to be created each game i'm not in a great place right now and this game helped me for a moment forget that and just be charmed by its cute world, and i really appreciate it for that. i usually wait until i 100% a game before reviewing but since its such a cute game and it deserves so much more attention i felt like i had to contribute in some way.
Video Review: https://youtu.be/mLwssUhojeo TL:DR: Flame land is a fun platformer with loads of replayability, branching paths, and a ton of characters to unlock. It is a fun charming game with nice old school vibes and is well worth checking out.
Fun and unique, even I personally suck at it.
This game has great depth. Really tight platforming. The dragon collectibles all have interesting powers that add a new elements to clearing each stage. This is a gem, don't miss out on this if you love platformers.
