Fishing Adventure VR

This is the budget priced fishing VR experience for 2022. Unfortunately, it feels like it was made in 2016 for mobile VR gaming (I realize it is a port of a non-VR game). The graphics are really poor, the VR interactions are clunky, & the gameplay loop starts out very simple. There are 7 world locations to travel to. It does not take very long to catch fish. The VR interactions though makes the whole experience feel unpolished. It also makes everything go slower than it should. For example, rowing your boat in the lake should be fun, but here it is done so poorly that it feels like a chore. When you compare the experience here to other VR fishing titles like: Catch & Release, Real VR Fishing (do not confuse with Real Fishing VR on the Steam store), or Ultimate Fishing Simulator, this game is very far behind in almost every facet of the experience. The only thing I think this game excelled at is the budget price (especially in the Steam bundle if you already own Ultimate Fishing VR, it comes out to less than $5 USD). From the same developers who brought us the broken mess of a game called “Demolish & Build VR” comes yet another broken mess of a game in the form of Fishing Adventure VR. Need a tutorial to get started? Here are a few pointless 2D videos explaining nothing! What to catch fish? Tough, because by the time you work out how to cast they would have died from old age! With its terrible graphics, unjustifiable asking price and lack of simple fishing mechanics this is not a game I would recommend unless some serious work is done to it. But I have so little hope of that happening I will be getting a refund.

This game seems to be bugged in some way on every headset. I tested using Vive, Index and Oculus rift CV1 controllers. The Vive doesn't work at all, the Index and Rift controllers cannot grab fish when using lures, I reported this on the forums 12 days ago but got no reply. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1200220/discussions/0/3193615617164200797/ Lures are required to progress with the quests or the game is just a painfully boring grind.

Управление отвратительное. Действия срабатывают через раз. Если хотите поднять себе нервы то рекомендую

This game was ultimately refreshing! It also has quests so you always have something to do. The boat mechanic is a really cool idea, and the scenery is beautiful. I almost wish you were able to get in a lobby with 2-3 other people and shoot the breeze while you catch some fish haha The only things i thought could be improved, I feel some of the reeling, and casting mechanics could be cleaned up a bit, and some more/louder sound effects and controller vibrations could really take it the extra mile
