For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

First Strike is a strategy game that takes one of humanity’s most frightening concepts, global nuclear warfare, and transforms it into a tense, thought-provoking experience. Developed and published by Blindflug Studios AG, the game places players in control of a nuclear superpower and asks them to navigate an increasingly unstable world where diplomacy, expansion, technological progress, and military preparedness are all connected to survival. Rather than focusing on traditional battlefield engagements, First Strike centers its gameplay around the management of nuclear arsenals and geopolitical influence, creating a distinctive strategy title that stands apart from more conventional war simulations. One of the game’s strongest qualities is its ability to create tension from relatively simple mechanics. Players begin by selecting a nation and gradually expand their influence through research, territorial growth, and strategic positioning. Every action carries weight because rival nations are constantly developing their own capabilities. A seemingly harmless expansion can provoke neighboring powers, while a delayed technological upgrade may leave a nation vulnerable when conflicts inevitably erupt. This constant balancing act keeps players engaged from beginning to end, as the world can shift from uneasy peace to total devastation within moments. The technology system adds considerable depth to the experience. Researching new advancements allows nations to improve missile capabilities, strengthen defenses, increase expansion opportunities, and unlock strategic advantages. Choosing which technologies to prioritize becomes an important decision, especially because resources and time are limited. The game encourages players to think several moves ahead, rewarding careful planning rather than reckless aggression. Successful nations are often those that understand the value of preparation and timing rather than relying solely on military strength. The global map serves as the stage for the entire conflict, presenting a stylized representation of Earth that is both attractive and functional. Watching nations grow, form spheres of influence, and launch attacks creates a strong sense of scale. The visual design is clean and easy to understand, allowing players to focus on strategic decision-making without being overwhelmed by unnecessary complexity. When missiles are launched and continents become targets, the simplicity of the presentation actually enhances the impact of the events unfolding on screen. What makes First Strike particularly memorable is its atmosphere. The game constantly reminds players that every strategic decision has potentially catastrophic consequences. Nuclear weapons are not treated as flashy tools for entertainment but as instruments of destruction that can rapidly erase nations and destabilize the entire world order. The result is a strategy game that feels surprisingly serious despite its accessible mechanics. There is an underlying sense of anxiety throughout each match, as even the most successful empire can be destroyed by a well-timed strike from a rival power. The artificial intelligence provides a respectable challenge, forcing players to adapt to changing situations. Nations compete aggressively for territory and technological superiority, and alliances of convenience can quickly collapse when interests diverge. Because every faction is pursuing the same goal of survival and dominance, matches rarely become predictable. Different starting nations also provide variety, encouraging multiple playthroughs to explore alternative strategies and geopolitical positions. Despite its strengths, the game is not without limitations. Some players may wish for deeper diplomatic systems or more detailed political interactions between nations. The focus remains firmly on nuclear strategy and territorial influence, meaning those seeking an expansive grand strategy simulation may find certain aspects streamlined. Additionally, matches can occasionally feel repetitive after extended play, particularly once players have mastered the core systems. However, the game's focused design generally works in its favor, keeping sessions engaging and easy to revisit. Overall, First Strike succeeds as both an entertaining strategy game and a reflection on the dangers of global nuclear escalation. Its combination of accessible mechanics, meaningful strategic choices, atmospheric presentation, and constant tension creates a memorable experience that remains relevant long after a match ends. By emphasizing the fragile balance between power, security, and destruction, the game offers far more than a simple conquest simulator. It delivers a compelling strategic challenge while encouraging players to consider the consequences of the weapons they control. For fans of real-time strategy, geopolitical simulations, or unique strategy concepts, First Strike is a rewarding and thought-provoking title that effectively transforms a terrifying subject into an engaging interactive experience.
