Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 13 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Warning: Asset Flip! First Day: Home Defender is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. In this case, the asset flipper took a bunch of stolen Unity "zombie" assets and some stolen background scenes and made a truly garbage point and click wave survival shooter. This is some of the laziest asset flipping I've ever seen, this is lazy even for HandMade Games. It has no value or merit as a real game. BadWolf Games/HandMade Games have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Save Home" = Ultimate Survival developed by Winterbyte
"Run Run Boy" = Branches developed by SgLib Games
"Escape of Pig" = The Pig Escape developed by Fox Game Studio
"Bike Arena" = Dirt Bike Rally developed by Virgil Source
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players, and the worst part is these were probably just fake review accounts writing the suspicious positive reviews for this trashware. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? First Day: Home Defender has the greedy, cash grab price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. For comparison, the $10 asking price for this game could get you games like "Europa Universalis IV", "Frostpunk" or "Rise of the Tomb Raider". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
If you take this as a tower defense type game, skip it. It would be much better to take it as a crosshair aiming training game. You will not go too far in game if you rely mostly on you hired defenders and depending on the speed chosen, time taken for each stage varies and it will be harder to aim as well
This is not a game. It's "My first Unity project".
Not worth playing or buying. Nice little mobile game from the early 2010s.
Игра на мужика:)если хочешь залутать все достижения,то придется зайти в игру и играть до конца,потому что нет сохранений,ушло на все 8 часов,но я это сделал!)
갓겜입니다. 눈떠보니 랭커가되있네요.
Buggy, boring, and repetitive. Not worth the time or money.
まあ、思った以上に重いし、つまらん
