Good chill game
unless you look up a lil guide, gods is this game unintuitive as all hell. recc is: skip the skill tree (except for campfire regen, and have that one attached from the start), and go for perma upgrades... which really should mean that the shop and the skill tree needs to be flipped
Особенно хороша после долгого рабочего дня под музыку или аудио книгу
Fire at Campsite Review: The Ultimate Cozy Tower Defense Final Score 8.2 / 10 (A-Grade) Introduction Fire at Campsite flips the script on the tower defense genre, asking players to embody the humble campfire itself to fend off waves of encroaching wildlife. Combining strategic depth, a charming aesthetic, and a roguelite structure, this game proves that a cozy concept can still deliver a challenging and immensely satisfying experience. Despite a few minor shortcomings in its sound design, the polished mechanics and generous content package make this one of the easiest recommendations of the year. Category Breakdown 1. Gameplay: 9.0 / 10 (A-Grade) The core loop of Fire at Campsite is nothing short of Excellent. The single-tower-defense mechanics are innovative, perfectly executed, and provide a high degree of player agency. The game earns its A-grade by offering deep complexity that is easily accessible: the massive arsenal of 200+ Augments and 30+ Skills allows for constant experimentation and highly varied build strategies. Controls are tight, responsive, and intuitive, making the Bullet Hell elements feel fair rather than frustrating. The difficulty curve is well-tuned, ensuring the challenge remains engaging as you Endure until Morning. 2. Story and Narrative: 8.0 / 10 (A-Grade) The narrative execution here is Excellent. While the plot is simple—protecting the campsite—the narrative shines through its charming world-building and character integration. The unique premise of the campfire needing protection is immediately compelling, and the supporting cast of campers, whose interactions allow you to Forge new Friendships and discover new ways to strengthen your campfire, are memorable. The charming dialogue and the detailed Betsy's Bestiary successfully integrate the narrative elements directly into the core gameplay loop, making the world feel rich and consistent. 3. Graphics: 8.0 / 10 (A-Grade) Fire at Campsite presents an Excellent visual package. The 2D, top-down style is visually impressive with a strong, consistent, and genuinely charming cartoony art style. Technically, the game runs with excellent execution, maintaining a smooth performance even when the screen is filled with effects and waves of enemies. The high detail in the enemy and character designs, combined with the excellent animation of the fire abilities, means any minor visual flaws are easily overlooked, perfectly justifying its A-grade. 4. Audio: 6.0 / 10 (C-Grade) Audio is the game's clearest weakness, landing in the Average range. The sound effects and general sound design are functional and appropriate for the cozy setting, but the overall soundscape is inconsistent. The music, while pleasant, tends to be repetitive and generic, failing to elevate the tension or atmosphere during the more frantic late-game waves. While the audio doesn't actively detract from the experience, it lacks the polish and impact seen in the other categories, leaving an opportunity for improvement in post-launch patches. 5. Value and Longevity: 10.0 / 10 (S-Grade) Earning the perfect score, Fire at Campsite offers Unbeatable Value. With a low price point and staggering amounts of content—over 40 characters and 200 augments—the price-to-content ratio is outstanding. The roguelite structure ensures near-infinite replayability, as players are constantly encouraged to Experiment with new combos. Crucially, based on this perfect score, the game boasts flawless, optimized performance and broad compatibility across all supported platforms, requiring no troubleshooting and promising a stable experience for the long term. This is a must-buy on value alone. Final Verdict Fire at Campsite is a genuinely delightful strategy game that manages to be both cozy and complex. While the audio experience is middling, the superb depth of the gameplay, combined with the charming aesthetics and, most notably, the unbeatable amount of content packed into its low price, makes this a standout title. If you enjoy roguelites, tower defense, or simply unique strategic challenges, this campfire is well worth gathering around.
