The first thing they teach you is how to accept the daily reward. And yes, the expensive tanks are strictly better.
Very shallow turn based tank fighting game. P2W. Game is played in 5v5 teams with 3 additional bots for each team (which makes it 8v8) and you can win either by capturing a base or killing all the opponents. There isnt much depth to it, you can do 2 moves per turn, either attack twice if you have a consumable, or attack and move. Most of the opponents seem to be bots, and then there are actual bots "Object X" with tanks that seem to have as three times as much health as starter tank does. There is some depth to it added by having random air drops and currency which you earn and use during the match to buy shells and other kinds of buffs, which are still weak compared to consumables you can buy before the match. There is only one game mode, non respawn base capture, however you can choose to play a training against bots or a "real" match. There also seems to be only one map, or there might be more of them, but they all look exactly the same with slight change of vegetation. Tanks are unlocked by simply paying, there arent any experience trees, however there is a skill tree which is individual for every tank it seems, and it can increase stats quite drastically, seems very stupid to me and is just one more way to offset matches. Best tanks can only be purchased with donator currency. And it gets even worse. There are consumables you can buy before you start the match, while a lot of them are offered for in game currency, the most powerful ones are paid with donator currency. And they are absolutely ridiculous, and even more laughable when you consider that there is only one, non respawn mode. You can literally buy 100% repair, and use it every single turn if you bought enough of it, which practically makes you completely immortal. On top of that, game often disconnects randomly for no reason.

Игра с покупной кнопкой "Убить всех на карте". ГДЕ КНОПКА "УБИТЬ ВСЕХ"?
2 modes one "vs bots" and 1 "pvp" in actuality the bot match is only you and your lane creeps vs their lane creeps pvp you play vs bots maybe not entirely but as far as i played and some of them have tanks multiple times better in every regard if you want to use some stuff during the match to have at least some impact on the match its so expensive you lose cash every match so you can say goodbye to ever seeing another tank f2p oh well or you can just stand back afk and get a little every time your bots happen to win
Great turn based strategy game, many hours of fun to be had. Pros: Great strategy value with several classes of tanks and customizable skill tree Most tanks are buyable without premium currency Free premium currency and items with daily missions Cons: Skill tree is the same for all tanks and pretty much fixed for predefined play styles. Some low level skills are pretty much wasted skill points when you're focused on getting the higher level ones for your play style (i.e: you need base capture in order to get visibility skills; or defense skill in order to get double shot) The 5 player party system is limited to only 3 human players, forcing you to go with at least two bots in the party. Playing out of a party is a roulette, you might be faced against 5 bots, or 3 humans... which most of the time means immediate defeat. BIG issue: Bots Enemy bots will always know where you're going and set their paths straight to you, even if they don't straight out shoot you in the dark, they will light you up soon enough. Enemy bots always know when a tank touches their base, contrary to humans, who have to wait the next turn to get the base capture warning. Friendly bots WILL block your route, they are the first to move and they don't recalculate their paths unless absolutly blocked. Friendly bots are suicidal, even against a team of 5 bots you will end up solo most of the time, if you're slightly better than a potato. Things to improve: Lower 45 secs wait per turn to 30, some people abuse the wait time to grief other players. Remove inactive players (replace with bots), after 3 turns of no activity; don't give out any prize to them to avoid abuse. Add 3 players smaller maps for actual PvP. Make drop crates animation faster, it gets old fast. The game needs to promote more party play, show online players (unless opted out) to everyone; to facilitate on the spot party making. Also add solo human players in the same team as 3 human parties insted of against them. Show during the match which of your teammates are humans and which are bots, for actually strategy planning, and voting Karma correctly *** EDIT ***: Editing the review since my view of the game has drastically changed. I no longer recommend it, and I warn every new player: this is NOT an strategy game. Ever since I reached a high enough level with my tanks (barely lv12~15...) , I realized the developers took every shortcut possible into making the players exasperate and buy premium items (which ofc means ♥♥♥♥ at the end of the day, because they don't ensure winning). It's no longer possible to fulfill the daily missions, since most of them depend on winning the matches; and the game won't let you do that unless you're in a full human platoon. And for those that depend on killing a certain type of tank ... you won't find that type of tank anywhere anymore. Since there's less and less humans in the game, and your friendly bots don't have a human "target" whom to hunt... well, it became virtually impossible to get a win. You will be matched against way overleveled bots Bots now no longer just know where you're, they will actively hunt you down from every possible corner, and use their overleveled skills and a seemingly infinite stock of light missiles to "detect" and attack you so they justify taking you down in one turn. (I have actually turned this around on them several times making them forget about my platoon by playing chicken and running around... which is the one thing that makes this game boring as all hell) In short, only way I'm playing this again is after devs remove the bot element from the game (except maybe Object X); and find a way to get more human players to play it so it's actually a game again.
Мобильная помойка на ПК.
Blatant pay-2-win. Cough up the cash or you are doomed to grinding it out for far too long to achieve anything. And the grind is made even worse by the hopelessly unbalanced match making. Deleting. Even with it's hordes of horrible players, World of Tanks is far more fun!
