About
The world has fallen under the dominion of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a sinister corporation that has monopolized the planet's very life force as Mako energy. In the urban megalopolis of Midgar, an anti-Shinra rebel group calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their campaign of resistance.
Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra's elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the rebels, unaware that he will be drawn into an epic battle for the fate of the planet, while having to come to terms with his own lost past.
This product is an upgraded version of FINAL FANTASY VII – 2013 Edition with additional features (there are no changes or additions to the story).
The following extra features are included:

Activate this option to turn off random encounters. Story event battle still must be completed to advance the story.

I already completed the 2013 Steam version years ago, so I was curious to see what this rerelease had to offer. The gameplay and story remain timeless, but the new quality-of-life features are genuinely welcome. Autosave, improved controller support, faster gameplay options and the new launcher make this version much more convenient to play on modern PCs. The launch wasn't perfect and there were technical issues at first, but Square Enix fixed the most critical ones surprisingly quickly. If you're looking for the classic Final Fantasy VII experience without relying on mods, this is probably the best official version currently available on Steam. My only wish is for continued patches and better compatibility with the long-established modding community. Still one of the greatest RPGs ever made.

One of the best games ever made in human history. Do not let the remake fool you, the original experience still absolutely great. Master piece.
