About
The world has fallen under the dominion of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a sinister corporation that has monopolized the planet's very life force as Mako energy. In the urban megalopolis of Midgar, an anti-Shinra rebel group calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their campaign of resistance.
Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra's elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the rebels, unaware that he will be drawn into an epic battle for the fate of the planet, while having to come to terms with his own lost past.
This product is an upgraded version of FINAL FANTASY VII – 2013 Edition with additional features (there are no changes or additions to the story).

i have barely played this version of the game, the closest thing i have played through is the PS4 version which i understand to be practically the same as this one (with some features present in this steam release that are not in the PS4 version of the game). while the 2013 version comes with a lot of things such as mod support, this version is perfectly fine for those looking to enjoy ff7 with some added QoL booster options. several glitches are fixed in this version, where it lacks compared to the 2013 version it makes up for in that at the very least.

some script is hanging at bugenhagen planet demo scene, no fix has workd and im pretty advanced user, this is crap, ♥♥♥♥ square. i should haver to hack a game to make it run in 2026 ON STEAM
Final Fantasy VII ist für mich eines der besten Spiele aller Zeiten. Von der packenden Story über die unvergesslichen Charaktere bis hin zur großartigen Musik und der einzigartigen Atmosphäre stimmt hier einfach alles. Selbst heute schafft es das Spiel noch, Emotionen zu wecken und eine Welt zu erschaffen, in der man sich komplett verlieren kann. Natürlich merkt man dem Spiel sein Alter in manchen Bereichen an, aber gerade das gehört inzwischen zu seinem Charme dazu. Wer sich auf die Reise mit Cloud und seinen Gefährten einlässt, erlebt ein Abenteuer, das auch Jahrzehnte später nichts von seiner Wirkung verloren hat. Ich kann Final Fantasy VII mehr als nur empfehlen – jeder RPG-Fan sollte dieses Meisterwerk mindestens einmal gespielt haben.
Final Fantasy VII originally released back in 1997 on the PS1. While the game looks outdated, there are various mods you can download to make the graphics look better. There are also several other mods worth taking a look at, such as QoL features. As for the game itself, I enjoyed it for a while, but something felt off about it for me. I'm not sure exactly what it was, but I slowly stopped enjoying the game after about 10 hours and decided to drop it. I still recommend getting this game on sale to anyone who enjoys JRPGs. It goes on sale for a cheap price, so I think it was at least worth trying out.
