Fighting force premier du nom est un pur plaisir coupable qui ne survit que grâce à la nostalgie d'un jeu de mon adolescence. Fighting force 2 est une purge que j'ai malgré tout terminé juste pour venger mon moi de 13 ans qui s'est retrouvé victime de tout un tas de fausse promesse grâce à une jaquette vendeuse.Pourquoi appeler ce jeu Fighting force 2? Et d'ailleurs, pourquoi utiliser la version PS1 ultra moche pour cette compilation quand la version Dreamcast existe?

Seeing Fighting Force hit Steam took me by surprise, a series thats been dormant for as long as I have been alive, yet, both games helped form some of my earliest, and fondest memories with my father. Fighting Force is still a clunky Streets of Rage like that has a lot of charm, and the soundtrack? Still kicks a lot of ass. The sequel is still a confusing entry for me, because of how we took the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ looking one of the group, Hawk Manson, and made him into a super soldier, I still remember my PS1 manual for it having an ad on the back showing Razael, Laura Croft, and Hawk Manson like they were going to be the three big mascots of Eidos, only for Laura to succeed. All and all, its a fun bargain for something so retro that it was forgotten, welcome back Fighting Force.

Cette collection fait le minimum syndical pour préserver ces deux jeux. Elle fonctionne, elle est complète dans ses options techniques, et les amateurs de rétro y trouveront leur compte. Mais elle ne célèbre jamais vraiment l’héritage de la série. Et c’est bien dommage, car le premier Fighting Force méritait sans doute mieux qu’un simple emballage d’émulation.
