its not the deepest game in the world, combat wise nor story wise, but it has some of the best music, animation and game feel ive played all year. i got it on a sale a while ago, and i regret it. the devs deserve the full 30 bucks for this gem :)!

This game needs more recognition. Incredably fun
Damn good game. The first half is a bit slow. The Ice and Fire level kind pretty stressful. The end is a masterpiece. Would recommend any day.
punch
Mr "catch these hands" himself. be mindful, if you die in the tower, it wont save the things you've done. Its not THAT bad, as there is no fall damage *wink*
This is one of my favorite games of all time. Phenomenal art, soundtrack, and story pacing. I can see why some people would have trouble with some of the more old-school systems like losing progress upon dying, but I didn't have too much of an issue with them. Highly recommend.
FIGHT KNIGHT combines dungeon-crawling, first person brawling and light puzzle solving into an surprisingly deep action game. You play as the titular Fight Knight, a refreshingly direct protagonist who's response to lost villagers, scary monsters, brain-teasing traps, awkward social situation and even philosophical paradoxes is the zealous deployment of violence. The fighting is challenging and layered, utilizing a positional system in which enemies are lined up and split across rows you juke between. Parrying and dodging as needed while responding with special moves, combos and regular old beat-downs. Equipment sets change up your strategy to allow for different gameplay styles and a skillful player can smash through the evil legions as if they were wet cardboard. The game is very aesthetically stylish, as you can see by the screenshots, but it's also surprisingly well written with fun characters and an rich world. It's charming and funny and avoids the obvious pitfall of having one joke ("Knights aren't supposed to fight with their fists, how quirky") with even our silent, hulking mountain of a main character revealing a likeable and multi-faceted personality. FIGHT KNIGHT is excellent and well worth your time and money.
Really fun and underrated game. The visuals are super charming altough they can get a bit nauseating at times but fortunately the game does come with accesibility options for that. The characters are charming and the combat is quick and snappy. The game is really fun but I do have some complaints. Firstly, a lot of the different fists and special abilities feel a bit too gimmicky to be reliable. For my playthrough I just ended up sticking with the basic fists and the star eyed special and the Kongo wallop. This isn't really helped by the fact that the description of the different abilities and fists are often quite vague and don't do the best job at conveying their utility. This can lead to the player sticking to the same tools which can get stale. Secondly the frequent combat encounters can kinda break the pacing of some levels, especially when you are trying to solve puzzles. Chaos Colosseum is especially guilty of this which is why it probably ended up being my least favorite level despite the fun gimmick. Getting consantly put through combat encounters every minute can lead to certain levels getting stale, especially when you have to listen to the same 10 second combat loop. The game does however do a good job at wrapping things up with the final two levels being really good and a great final boss. Overall I'd give the game an 8.5/10. Great game but with a couple flaws that drag down the experience.
