-=Update Note=- Dev has been reaching out and repeatedly attempting to fix the issues at hand, I've been too swamped to properly help them with the process, but it's clear they're passionate about fixing the below issues, and I was still able to keep the tabletop book which is - again - quite robust. It was just the PC tool that had issue. If you'd like to help playtest for an aspiring developer give it a shot! -=Original Review=- Literally unplayable. I want to like this game, I read the tabletop manual and playtested at the table, but the video game port does not function, at all. First the broken user select screen: To operate it you must in this order- Click "Profile" to close the window, click "Profile" again to open it back up to display correctly. Then, First time only: Type a name you want and 'create profile', do this TWICE. Reset the game. For future runs open and close 'profile' as normal, then select your profile from the two options you created. Now you have access to the game... Or... Do you..? The AI for quickplay doesn't function, there's no online multiplayer yet, so that leaves hotseat custom 1v1 games, that's fine, right? Well... Game prompts player 1 to deploy, then instead of prompting player 2 it skips right to turn 1. Since player 2 wasn't able to deploy any mechs, the moment player 1 ends their turn, they win automatically and get booted back to the main menu. (also for movement, you can only move by clicking adjacent tiles in order then hitting Space to confirm - this is not explained) So... You can't play the game. Attempts to explore the in-game arsenal menu just redirects me to "BuyMeACoffee.com" to pay real money for the creators 3D models. The tutorials don't really function as the textures are breaking and everything is masked under layers of windows before a full screen popup asks "DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" with "Roger" or "..." as your options. So it really is a shame the game is so non-functional. I'll keep an eye on it as it does appear to be getting regular updates, but for now I must refund.
