About
Your mech is all that stands between you and what writhes below. FEED MY MECH is a short horror experience—venture into a dead underground colony and recover lost tech. But something is spreading through the machines… and it’s looking for a way inside your mech.
An Immersive Kind of Horror: You are trapped inside of a mechanical chassis, you can't move, you can't hide, you can't run.
Limited Vision: There are no windows to look beyond the cold metal walls of your mech. Make use of distorted, unreliable screens and maps to navigate the decaying environment.
Exploration: Explore the remains on what could have been a prospering community and discover secrets that may hint to what went wrong.
A Short Horror Experience: Can be completed in around two to three hours on the main path, but explore more if you wish, there are many secrets to find beyond that...
The main portion of the gameplay is set within a mech provided by your employer, Solance Systems. They have tasked you with retrieving "Signals" from various remains of previous mech pilots in the area, any further information about your task is strictly confidential. Something goes wrong while you're down there, you are trapped in an old residential colony below your target location. While not intended, Solance tasks you with collecting the "Signals" on this lower, more hostile floor. They aren't carving an escape path for you until you do.
Get the signals, get out, and maybe discover what actually happened to this residential colony on the way...

FEED MY MECH RELEASE !!!!!!!!! I am not the best with horror so I was very uneasy playing at almost any given moment, which is good! The atmosphere is extremely well done. All of the sound cues you start picking up on make you feel so in tune with the game and make it immersive. The writing is great, sound design is awesome, mechanics are unique and intuitive. Best of all, it seriously is super enjoyable. I truly think that this game is such a gem. There was clearly so much hard work put into it, it's extremely admirable. Especially for a solo developer ! Great job Martian !! Can't wait to see what other awesome stuff you put out in the future. Keep it rolling !
Really cool game, love driving the mech and the atmosphere. The elevators are a bit janky and maybe need a patch to fix them but other than that great game.

More than the sum of its parts, you should say this is Five Nights Vs Steel Battalion but everything combined makes for something else Think Duskers XL Buy it and turn off all the lights
Some parts of this game lack direction for example in the second area (more specifically the bridge) I.C.A.R.U.S told me about power, flashlight, blackouts, & entities WAY after I had died multiple times from lack of direction / knowledge because I didn't go the way the game wanted me to. I had to watch a video previously before this since I was getting stumped on what to do. Design choices on some things were weird too such as not being able to move your mech in thermal mode and the fact that there is no pause button in the game so good luck if nature calls lol as the only saves are the the doors of each area. This game has a nice atmosphere and design though beyond what I mentioned before. Ultimately, I gave up on the game on the neighborhood area after I couldn't find any key to open a door and this was after obtaining all 4 of those one things. I saw it on the map once and couldn't find it anymore. The game can be a slog fest too since I would say that you are going to be more fearful of losing progress than being scared of the atmosphere since the the only checkpoints in this game are at the doors and if you die you do everything all over again. If you want a struggle than this game is it but I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for an enjoyable experience. This game literally has no pause button https://youtu.be/n7lIv864Zr4
This game functions very weird and I love it, it reminds me a bit of Iron Lung however there's a lot more going on here in terms of story and gameplay, I love it <3
I wanted to like this game but I just can't. Maybe it's just not for me but I find navigation so pointlessly difficult. You never get a good sense of what direction you're moving in until you've already moved. It's all trial and error, and with the radar acting so strangely (pointing me at non-fake walls, detecting what seems like nothing, etc.) you will never get a good feel for your surroundings. I get the feeling this was done intentionally for atmosphere but it just doesn't land for me. The worst part though is the crawlers - y'know, the things you have to turn around to deal with. I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be an audio cue when they need to be dealt with but it wasn't playing for me. The game says they grab on to the mech if you stand still for too long but even after constant movement they'd keep grabbing the back. They don't seem to have a cooldown either, plus they blend in super well with the rusty bars. All of this combined means you need to turn around every three seconds, flash the ENTIRE back grate, then turn back around and hope you remember what you were doing. There's no mid-level checkpoints either, and while I get that's not typical from the genre it just left things feeling very unfair. Ultimately I got to the first non-tutorial level, spent an hour trying to beat it, died after my best run (all four signals plus the orange keycard) and gave up. I can't comment on how the gun works since I never had a chance to use it. I never got any lore past the intro. If you're interested, just know what you're getting into. This game isn't for everyone. No game is. I just wish this one was for me.
I have never felt less safe inside of a mech in a videogame before.
I think Feed My Mech is a great concept with a flawed execution. Several features in the game exist to create tension, but instead just create tedium. I understand having a low quality screen to see the exterior, but there is no reason for it to be so small, and literally be in the corner of the screen. I understand having limited inputs to control the mech, so it doesn't turn into Armoured Core, but making them literal cranks and levers is insane. I understand the two modes for the cameras, but when put together with the other features, and adding on the AWFUL interactions of the spider, it all just breaks down. I gave the game a real shot. I played it for 7,5 hours, and didn't even finish it. I made it to the spider tunnels, died like 15 times, finally made a run where I completed every objective, and died just before exiting the area. After that, I gave up. I decided to watch a walkthrough to see the ending, and I find out I am actually only about halfway in the game. I am glad I stopped when I did, since it turns out the spider isn't only in those tunnels, it follows you for the rest of the game. That spider is the most unfun enemy that could possibly be designed for these mechanics. I have no idea when it is even nearby, and I can only see it when I am standing still. When I do look at it, it is stunned for an unknown amount of time. I have no idea for how long I am safe, so I am equally surprised when I just randomly die to it. Truly, a masterclass in horrible game design. The corrupted mechs are a much more well designed enemy. They are a threat, but have clear counters. I think they move a little too quickly sometimes, especially in the city map, but besides that, they are fun to fight. The crawlers are also pretty good. They only latch on when you stand still, and they are a small minigame to get rid of. My issue is with their sounds. It's the only way to know they're on the hull, and it's just not enough. Especially since I think it is glitched. I tried several times where I hear the sound effect, immediately turn to get them off, and then just get instantly eaten by them. Either I missed an earlier sound effect, or they just kill you instantly sometimes. The controls are really just missing some quality of life. EVERYTHING is controlled with the mouse, except the ability to turn directly behind you. Why can't I also use A and D to turn to my sides? There are stations I need there as well. I get that you're playing as a guy in a mech, and not as the mech itself, so actually interacting with controls is quite cool, but these controls are clearly just designed to all fit on screen, not for a person in the universe to actually control a mech. Just make a few more controls have keyboard shortcuts. That would turn tedium into feeling like it's your own fault when you die. And stuff like forcing me to hold the button down when scanning samples doesn't add fun. Again, it is just tedium. I played this game for a total of 7,5 hours, and was having decent fun (in spite of the tedious controls) until I hit the spider tunnels. Then it just turned into pure pain. Several of the people who have left positive reviews have literally played the game for less than an hour, and most are less than 3 hours. There is no way those people actually beat the game. The streamer I saw beat it did it in about 5 hours, and he was decently quick. Overall, don't play this game. And if you do, stop once you reach the spider, and watch a playthrough of the two endings. It isn't worth it.
FNAF meets Armored Core 1, But with with far better up and down controls! I'm not too into these types of horror games where you typically can't defend yourself when the character you are playing realistically could. (Stop running from the monster, pick up a chair and go WWE on its ass!) But because of FEED MY MECH's premise, where it makes sense given the circumstances, and you actually can shoot the things creeping after you! I had to try it out. I have only got to the second area so far, and this game is an enxiety attack and a half! The atmosphere and soundscape is heavy and immersive, even with my reference studio speakers and DAC. I wish I didn't have TMJ because, I want to epxerince this game with a great pair of cans on my head. My only major complaint is that because I'm a total lore head, I hate that you can't pause to read about the stuff you've picked up because:
Standing still for too long allows things to climb into your mech, and I'm not sure yet, but it feels like a certain type of enemy mech can just appear out of nowhere...
I hope I can work up the courage to get through the rest, but at this price, I'm glad I gave it a try! We need more biomecha horror!
