In this game you get to play as Fech, our pink ferret protagonist, on his first adventure in the region of Marmocle.
Run through an open world and meet quirky animals as you slowly uncover what lies behind the mishaps happening in Marmocle.
Fech The Ferret is a game made for both people who enjoy high speed platforming and players who prefer to enjoy a lush colourful world at their own pace.
Players are free to try reach the end of each zone as quickly as possible making use of Fech's climbing and rolling abilities, or they may take the time to slowly explore the place to collect clothes and comics scattered around the world as well as talk to the various NPCs.
Spread throughout the world you will also find special "ara" levels, these are rhythmic challenges where Fech has to jump and avoid obstacles to the rhythm of the music.
The story starts as Fech wakes up in a strange forest. He hasn't gotten to Marmocle by accident, but he knows barely anything about this land. Unsure on where to go he heads to a pointy structure outside of the forest, away from the dangers of the forest. Soon he gets to meet a strange bird.
The game also features an experimental shared world online mode. Meet with your friends and have some chaotic fun!

While this game is full of bugs, glitches and even a couple moments where I got softlocked, There is a lot of potential for this one. While these issues can often cause frustration for me, I understand it's still in it's alpha build at the time of typing this, so I'm willing to overlook them for the most part. What I do see is a game with a lot of potential to be something great and that is why I recommend it. I love the stylized world, the amount of collectibles you can find, the funny writing of all the characters and even how adorable Fech their self is. While the open world areas can be difficult to navigate for me, I really enjoyed the sections where you are just running and platforming your way through linear stages (The power plant for example). I can tell the developers are very passionate about this one and even if you don't find it's current state appealing to you, I support purchasing it anyways to help support the team fund the ongoing project.
i really like this game and i know its still being worked on but, i truly hope more polish and work is being put into the game to make the controls feel more controllable and doesnt feel too clunky with the surroundings that also kinda have jank. not to say this game is bad i really like this game, but i think it needs more polish on other corners of the game that make it feel a little unfinished. i have highest of hopes for this game
I want there to be more to this game. It's not quite there yet, but lots of potential. To be noted, this game is a tad expensive for what it currently is but regional-pricing made it accessible for me. Haven't played the whole thing, I was stopped by getting stuck inside an object. For now, it's a buggy mess with confusing/frustrating levels, but I'm glad it exists. Loved the "jump to the rhythm" level, wish there was more to it as in more reason to go side-to-side besides barrier stopping you, better visual of where/when to jump, and a "streak" counter for the timed jumps. The idea of arcade-y levels like that that you access from a more open overworld map seems lovely.
whoa
while the music and visuals are nice. the camera feels weird sometimes and the fact that it hasn't been updated in over 14 months and its still in early access for $30 I can't recommend this unless its 90% off or it gets finished by this year.
This game is *incredibly* charming, and I can't wait to see it reach its full potential. Their description of an experience similar to playing in a big park as a kid hits the nail right on the head. I accidentally broke it a few times (oopsies, early access bugs), but playing it was an absolute delight. I can't wait to see more of this game <3
A charming little speed platformer with a rhythm game sub-theme. It's a bit rough around the edges but it oozes charm and soul and has a really awesome soundtrack to boot. And I mean, you get to be a ferret too. what's not to love? dookdookdookdook
