About
Fears to Fathom [Together] is an episodic psychological co-op horror game where each episode unveils a short story narrated by the ones who survived.
In this episode of Fears to Fathom, you play as Tessa Langley or Marcus Reed — a young couple from Oregon preparing to move to another state. Due to unforeseen circumstances, their journey took an unexpected turn, leading them to the town of Scratch Creek. Little did they know what was transpiring in the decrepit small town. The couple survived as they collectively made the right choices.
This game is primarily a 2-player narrative co-op walking simulator with driving and exploration mechanics. Scratch Creek is an exclusively co-op experience.

A painfully mediocre co-op experience. Dialogue that drags. Promising mechanics from past games that still go nowhere interesting. You'll spend however long messing around with a couch, a couple boxes, and knocking on doors before one of you gets stuck in the ceiling so you gotta restart and do it all over again. One of you drives, other plays Cookie Clicker. One of you explores, other plays Cookie Clicker. Then you stop playing Cookie Clicker and go explore while the other gets their turn on Cookie Clicker. And FINALLY -- you're stuck in a loop of running around in some Groundhog Day-Scooby Doo scenario until you find the one and only way out. Look, it's an indie game so I will be a lot more lenient. This is not a scam. This is not terrible and unplayable. I enjoyed my time at this price point but they must take a step back and think about what they want their games to be: horror or story-driven? The story suffers from poor writing that could be cut in half. The horror suffers from the strictly linear script and under utilized mechanics. EXPLORE CHASE HIDE DIE RESTART Both the story and horror suffer terribly because of how quickly the game loses what little steam it has. jumpscare jumpSCARE JUMPSCA-- oop restart-- Would deeper mechanics add to development time? Yes, but the games would benefit greatly. They must diversify and broaden player choice. Let me escape in different ways. Die in different ways. Hide somewhere that isn't just another closet, under the bed, some random enclosed space with a hinged board. Let me influence the environment, the AI, this other human being I bought this *cooperative* game for. . . I appreciate indie. I want them to do better.

Game is basically completely unplayable on steam deck after the first 30 minutes due to a bug that keeps crashing the instance once you're getting past the highway section. Unfortunate because me and my friend were really looking forward to this game.

there should be a single player option were the ai takes over the second player. couldnt even play the game cause the servers are dead
best horror co-op game :3
I was extremely disappointed. Game starts off alright, but the story is extremely unbelievable. Which I'd overlook if the game was good, but it was not. At one point, they decide to leave one of the players locked in a room with nothing to do while another player goes and does something. I don't know why they'd choose to do that. The chase scene at the end was just extremely downhill. We had to restart multiple times and was buggy. So much trial and error with multiple doors but only one path and invisible walls galore. It just killed the game for me. Wish I could refund.
This game is the worst piece of trash I have ever played. Fears to Fathom games are good solo, Rayll should never have attempted to branch out. The fact that I got stuck at the gas station for upwards of two of the three hours that I played. Call that a skill issue or whatever you want, I don't think that one glitch should have stopped me from going up the damn driveway and made me start all the way back at the BEGINNING of the gas station part, where the people there move the slowest I have ever seen a NPC in a game move. And that is not even mentioning how slow the NPCs talk. This game may be one of the worst experiences I have ever had playing a video game. The clicker was fun though.
Cow Clicker is the only redeeming part of this game
