"Two days ago a monster appeared in the hallway outside the office. Maybe if I just wait it will leave eventually." A very short psychological game dealing with isolation, entrapment and the nature of fear.

So i went into this game and to start it was alright with the notes and finding items but then after exhausting every single option i became convinced there was something more to it. I spent about 30min clicking that fricking katana to lvl up for it to maybe say "I am ready" when i go to open the door to the monster. but no i get to lvl 15 after 30 MINUTES, no joke that is how long i spent clicking the mouse. only for nothing to happen. i am not gonna sit there for an hour just to try to maybe get it up to a higher level and nothing happen. it is appauling to me that the monster doesnt even kill you. The whole point of this game is to kill yourself what other thing is there. not even in interesting ways. no development of your character, even through the notes. No threat from anything. Nothing to even consider this a full game. maybe like a trial version of the full thing
What Makes This Game S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
Key to the Review S • 1/10 | This game is just terrible as a whole, no strengths to speak of. P • 3/10 | Sounds and feels decent but looks atrocious. Possibly untextured
monster
. E • 1/10 | Could not endure more than 12 minutes, zero replayability. C • 1/10 | I felt enraged that somebody would pay 100 dollars to publish this game on Steam I • 3/10 | Poor story in
notes
and a useless
Katana
. Lame ways to die. A • 1/10 | Takes less than ten minutes to complete the game. L • 5/10 | Luck to skill ratio is fair. Find some things by luck, others by skill.
Original Review
Hello Fellow Office Workers, This is by far the most pointless game I've ever played. Here are your options once you read all of the notes and understand the story. You can burn yourself to death by, count it, four different ways, you can kill yourself in a washing machine, you can kill yourself with a katana, you can kill yourself by trying to hit the monster with the katana, or you could get out of the elevator with the monster and die. So basically, you die five different ways throughout the game. If you decide that you think you can take the monster on with the katana, you might be there leveling your katana up forever since there's literally no point in doing it. The game is ridiculously weird and stupid. I do not recommend.
How to not be funny
Inspired by other walking simulators like "the static speaks my name", Food For Fear features very simple and accessible gameplay mostly involving walking and interacting with objects. It instead focuses on providing a dark and twisted horror story that explores the psychological nature of fear and entrapment. The game is very short so just play and judge it for yourself instead of reading this description. Putting that last sentence seals the deal that people will base their opinions of the game on the description alone... That was the description of the game called Fear For Freedom. As I was playing I did feel some kind of vague similarity with another walking simulator called the static speaks my name. I wasn't sure if it was meant to be a parody of it but either way Fear For Freedom felt like a game that was way too hard trying to be a parody of either walking simulations or just the static speaks my name. What is the game about? Nothing really. Like I said it feels like a bad parody. It has some fire hazards you can kill yourself to, idiotic notes and just random stuff thrown here and there. While I would've loved to see a game that parodies walking simulators this game has no right to be called one. Walking simulators are, to some people, boring. But even when Fear For Freedom tries to be boring it fails. It just is too short for anything. In short, avoid Fear For Freedom. It is not funny as a game, not as a parody and especially not as a walking simulator. There hardly was any amount of walking...
♥♥♥♥ this filth
Fear For Freedom is a very simple Unity based low poly first person adventure game with a "philosophy of fear" storyline that seems a lot like what you'd expect from a junior high school student flunking writing class. You're stuck in an office and there's a monster outside so you apparently just stay in the office hiding and eating office food for days. The M.Night Shyamalan tier twist is of course that perhaps the monster is of our own imagination and that unfounded fear can create a prison for us all. Woah, so deep. This feels more like a demo or a student project, based on the very short duration, low quality implementation and overall simplicity of the game. Anyway, the implementation quality here is just garbage. While Unitys default launcher lets you set the resolution and controls, there's no other graphics tweaks. The game features lazy low-polygon untextured "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. Like, DooM had texture mapping back in the 90's, I don't understand why it's out of reach for so many amateur developers. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. With no tweaks, there's no way to try to make this look any better. The game is completely free. This is noble a gesture that shows dedication to both gamers, and the gaming industry. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately, but I hope to see more work from this developer, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without needing to make budget/quality compromises.
seems y'all didn't like it but it was a short little great game. it's not meaningless it shows how the thing you fear is probably going to be ok. the character itself knew it but nature of fear don't let him to just do it and escape nightmare. all of ways to die is too painful but still the character accept it, just how we do stupid things when we're out of mind overall it worth playing.

"İki gün önce ofisin dışındaki koridorda bir canavar belirdi. Belki biraz beklersem sonunda gider." İzolasyon, tuzağa düşme ve korkunun doğasıyla ilgili çok kısa bir psikolojik oyun.
This is a free short horror game. There is a dryer with poop in it, things are burning and a .... thing is outside of your office. The look is barely usable, the movement is ok, the flames are red and there is a baby. Badges, cards and acheivements aren't in the game. If you want to do a game fast with no replayablity then you might enjoy this. Have fun, enjoy and live a different life :)
Fear For Freedom is potentially one of the greatest games ever made. Fear For Freedom demonstrates how less can be more; without telling the player too much information, each person can derive their own story from the rock solid framework that the game provides. The subtle yet riveting decent detectable by scouring the level for notes left by the main character. A terrifying yet sympathetic antagonist with a plot twist that will leave you crying (no spoilers). Leveling mechanics can be tedious and tiring, but Fear For Freedom subverts this by making each level you gain exciting. All of this is not even mentioning the most engaging combat system I have ever seen implemented in a 3D game. Having this game available for free despite how much effort and time was clearly involved in the construction of the game shows not only how passionate the creator was, but also how humble they are.
