Island 359™

No one knows about this game. But it’s probably my favorite dinosaur games out there. Crafted by just 2 dudes, this beauty is an entire Jurassic park basically. An abandoned Dino island with buildings and check points you can loot. Tyrannosaurus Rex is probably the scariest thing I’ve ran from on my treadmill in VR before. This game also supports full body tracking and you can kick dinosaurs while you shoot and swing Mel’s weapons at them. Great graphics too.

If you have an index this (at the time of this review) doesn't support it correctly. The overlays are for HTC controlelrs, grip on the left hand doesn't function correctly so you are only getting about 50% of a functional game because of of lack in support.

It isn't playable anymore on my quest 2. Tried launching through Steam and oculus in virtual desktop, air link and USB-C cable and game crashes within a couple minutes. Too bad I enjoyed playing it on a CV1 a couple years back through the infinity subscription.

I was so excited when I found out that this is one of the few games that has Full Body Tracking support and it's a survival VR game with Dinosaurs in it! Unfortunately, in late 2022, when I purchased and install it, it would only run for only a couple of minutes before just suddenly crashing - I even tried playing it normally without the full body tracking. After taking a look around, it seems like that the game is at the end of it's life, only a couple of years after it's official release. I only wish I could have the VR setup I have now but back when it released so I could experience the game as it once was.

I think this game has a good start, I don't really think its ready. I played it once, my tent floated away, i still don't know how to eat, i dropped my gun and there's no way to pick it back up, the island itself is redundant. That said, I would buy Island 749 or the next iteration of this idea if they develop it further. This just needs more work imo. the developer has to make a choice of keeping a good idea, or putting more of these games out, only time will tell.

A game about surviving on a Island full of Dinosaurs that want nothing but to hunt and eat you, welcome to Island 359. This game is VERY promising, but does have issues that most people are overlooking, one big issue i have is with the Dinosaurs not even spawning in sometimes, i completed a majority of the survival mode without encountering even the most basic dinosaurs. Finding and looting houses is very disappointing, you'll find almost nothing half the time, which means, almost no ammo will be found throughout your playthrough. There's also a huge lack of Dinosaurs to be found, you'll be encountering the same 4 or 5 dinosaurs over and over again, if you're looking to see every dinosaur known to exist, this isn't the game for you. Limited variety of weapons is also disappointing, and the survivor notes that you can find are not very interesting. Full body tracking IS supported though, which is always nice to see, weapons are indeed fun to shoot and use, and the world can be incredibly immersive to get into. arcade mode is fun (even if you're limited to 2 guns) and the mercenary mode is pretty fun too, more so than the survival mode. Overall, i give this game a 5/10, its a decent game with a lot of potential to be something much better, but with the developer basically abandoning the game, it's difficult to recommend. I'd only suggest buying on sale.

Great vr dino shooter. I enjoyed it a lot during first lockdown. It has great weapons, one of the best attachments implementation I've seen in vr and brilliant backpack feature. Graphics looks like some kind of 90s cinema cgi (its not bad). Sounds and ambience are ok. But please... Try arcade and mercenary modes first. Survival is bad, unfinished and buggy (some of the bugs prevents you from advancing the game at all).
