The game is really good. The only issue is the memory leak which makes game sessions shorter because the frame rate ends up dropping to a point where you have to reset your computer to continue your game. I personally have to do it every 2 hours. Apparently has been an issue for over a year and still not fixed. Not sure if the devs are actually working on it. If you're able to go past that issue, the game is an amazing rpg that blends both combat and crafting/gathering.
too much talking...geez, if you can stand it cool its a cozy get these things done type of thing. But man the cut scenes and dialogue is too much for me, especially for steam deck, I'm trying to game and go but I got to go through so much dialogue!
This game is a really fun game. It has aloooot going for it and especially if you aren't burned of farming sims. If you have played alot of games the game can be hard to pickup sometimes but it can definitely grab you if you havn't played a lot of other sims and similiar rpgs like this.
If you liked the 3ds game it fixed almost all of the issues I had with the game. Imagine runescape but fun with some animal crossing elements.
Before I played this game, I had a life. Now I have 14 of them.
I have a few hundred hours on the 3ds. If you're wanting a experience like that. It's here, but its not one to one. But that doesn't mean that this game is bad. Personally, I've enjoyed it a lot, but there are things that are left to be desired. While it still has the gameplay loop of progressing in one life to help in another life. It just doesn't feel as rewarding. It is very easy to progress the life's, with the only struggle being where to find bosses for the weapon life quests usually. And the new farming and art life's while cool in concept, execution feels bland. The farming life feels like it should of been more as a side mechanic and not it's own life with levels, quests, and tools. And the art life I feel like could of been genuinely one of the best life's. But instead, it was just a mashup of carpentry and tailoring in my opinion. And I only found it useful for money grinding. The rest of the life's play as expected mostly. some of the combat life's lost some depth but other then that, I have no issues. Next is the story, it's bland. The character designs are cute and unique. And they bring in some of the cast from the 3ds and Fantasy life online I believe. But the story itself was just not compelling for me. Sometimes it felt like they wanted you to take the story seriously and too heart, and other times it felt like nothing really matters all that much. They get close to reaching the fantasy life charm but always seem to miss. I had a lot of fun exploring for the most part. I enjoyed both the past and Ginormosia. The only things I wasn't huge on were the many amount of maze like areas and caves. I found myself just staring at the map the whole time in some of these areas, some of them just feel too big for how little is in them. And i didn't like the Ginormosia tower ranks. It's a genuine grind to rank up an area and can sometimes take days spending hours at a time doing so. It's just not fun. The tressure grove is fun but I didn't spend a whole lot of time doing it so i can't speak too much on that. But I enjoyed every bit I did experience of it. And same goes for the Bazario DLC, I also never ran into any glitches or issues with the Bazario DLC like some other's did. Overall, I still really love this game and will continue to enjoy it. I eventually will get more into tressure groves and Bazario content but just haven't felt the need for it yet. This does scratch the fantasy life itch and it's still a very good game even with my complaints. I just wish the game got more love then it did and it's sad that we didn't get anything like the origin islands DLC and that pets were completely removed.
Absolutely adorable and beautifully made. A must-play!
Grindy. Repetitive. But it's really good! I loved the 3DS version, and when this one reached 30% off I gave in. I'm really enjoying it. There is just so much to do, and there is freedom in choosing what you want to focus on. Looks and runs great, I had to adjust the HDR settings because the default is a bit overly bright and washed out. I don't think the deluxe edition is worth that much extra money, but I bought it anyway because I didn't want to feel I was missing out.
