Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 37.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 44/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game really is fun, I LOVE Fallout. I don't think Fallout 4 is the best at representing what Fallout really is, it doesn't do a good job of sticking to the established IP or lore at all. But as an objective view at a game, it's good. If Bethesda quit breaking our mods by pushing paid mods onto us every quarter, this would be a good review. Bethesda really needs to lock in and stop selling out good-will with their customers for a quick buck while they develop our most beloved games.
Bethesda update = Mods broken. Thanks for nothing.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 18: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

STOP UPDATING THE GAME
Postapocaliptic survival from the famous Fallout series. The story itself isn't good, at all. But the game itself? The character building, mechanics, Bethesda bugs? It all gives a life to this game. (Ignoring the paid DLCs that add almost nothing to the game besides Nukacola world and Far Harbor), the game is enjoyable. Very nice. Although you'll most likely play it once, then forget about it. 6.5/10
Wasn't going to buy the game becuase not a fan of the wasteland vibes. Decided to buy it and mod in trees so It would be appealing enough to play. 2 days later they update the game and break mods, and now Im just not buying anything Bethesda. Rip ES6 ( if it was ever going to release anyway).
Buy it on GOG instead
Fallout 4 Review

Overview
Fallout 4 is a weird one for me. I tried to play it multiple times over the years, and every time I dropped it. Even during this playthrough, it took a while before the game really stuck with me. But this time I pushed through, finished everything, and got all 84 achievements. Was it worth it? I think so. Fallout 4 has some very rough edges, especially with performance and combat, but I still ended up having a good time. It is one of those games where I can clearly see the problems while also understanding why people can spend hundreds of hours in it.

Story and Characters
Without spoiling anything, the premise is simple. You enter a Vault and eventually find yourself searching the Commonwealth for your missing son. The main story was okay for me. It kept me interested enough to continue, but it was never the main reason I wanted to keep playing. The characters were much better. Fallout 4 having a voiced protagonist surprised me after playing games like Skyrim and Starfield. I actually really liked it. The voice acting throughout the game is excellent, including the protagonist. Anger, worry, sarcasm, and sincerity usually come across really well. I spent most of my time with Piper, and I liked how companions react to your actions, quests, and locations. Their comments make them feel like actual people traveling with you instead of silent followers. Trying to get Piper to like me enough for the relationship achievement was another story. Apparently I managed to annoy her quite a lot.

World and Exploration
This is easily one of Fallout 4's biggest strengths. The Commonwealth is fantastic to explore. The map was smaller than I expected, but it is packed with locations, enemies, ruins, buildings, settlements, stories, and random things happening around you. It rarely feels empty. You can be walking toward a quest and suddenly hear gunfire, discover a new building, get attacked by some horrible creature, or notice another location in the distance and completely forget where you were originally going. That Bethesda exploration loop works incredibly well here. This was also my first proper Fallout experience, so learning how dangerous the Commonwealth could be was fun. Early on, you never really know what is waiting around the corner. The world feels handcrafted, and I constantly wanted to see what was inside the next building or where another marker would lead. The settlement system also gives all the junk you collect a purpose. I barely used building outside of achievements, but I can see how someone could spend hours with it.

Combat
Combat was probably the most confusing part of the game for me. There is a huge selection of weapons, and you can modify them and invest in perks for different playstyles. My problem was how inconsistent damage sometimes felt. Some enemies died quickly, while others felt like ridiculous bullet sponges even with upgraded weapons. Fallout 4 does have different damage resistances and stronger enemy variants, but playing completely blind, I never felt like the game explained that side of combat particularly well. I played on Normal the entire game, and there were still moments where I was unloading ridiculous amounts of ammunition into something wondering what I was doing wrong. That also made ammo more annoying because one difficult enemy could eat through a huge amount of it. The shooting itself is fine, and VATS is useful, but combat never became one of my favorite parts of the game. Sometimes it was fun. Other times I just wanted the enemy in front of me to finally die.

DLC
Fallout 4 has six official expansions: Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, Far Harbor, Contraptions Workshop, Vault-Tec Workshop, and Nuka-World. The workshop DLCs mostly expand settlement building, so they were not particularly important to me. Automatron was a fun smaller addition with its own questline and robot customization. Nuka-World was much weaker. I liked the idea and some of the locations, but a lot of it felt grindy and dragged out. Far Harbor was easily my favorite DLC. The atmosphere is great, the new area feels handcrafted and worth exploring, and I really liked its characters and quests. Out of all the extra content, this was the one that actually made me want to slow down and explore properly.

Visuals and Performance
Visually, Fallout 4 still looks pretty good for a game originally released in 2015. There is also a free High Resolution Texture Pack on PC if you want it, although it is separate from the later game updates. Performance, however, was easily my biggest problem. My experience on a modern high-end PC was terrible at times. When I first installed the game, I struggled to get it running properly above roughly 40 FPS. I went through videos, config changes, Nvidia Control Panel settings, and mods just trying to make the game behave. Even after improving things, I still experienced stutters, frame drops, crashes, and bad performance in certain areas. The game was obviously playable because I finished everything, but getting a game this old to run properly should not have required this much effort. Bethesda is still patching Fallout 4 in 2026, including an update in August, but in my experience the game still feels much rougher technically than it should.

100% Completion
I completed all 84 achievements, and that was one of the reasons I finally pushed myself to finish the game. The list is pretty fun overall and makes you experience quest paths, DLC content, settlements, and systems you might otherwise ignore. Going for 100% made me see much more of Fallout 4 than I probably would have otherwise.

What Works

Excellent world and exploration
The Commonwealth constantly gives you something to discover
Great voice acting
Memorable characters and companions
Huge weapon and equipment variety
Deep crafting and settlement systems
Far Harbor is excellent
Tons of content and mod support

What Falls Short

Performance was terrible on my PC
Still very buggy and prone to crashes
Some enemies feel like ridiculous bullet sponges
Combat systems could be explained better
Main story is only okay
Nuka-World felt grindy and dragged out
Role-playing and dialogue often felt less reactive than I wanted

Verdict
Fallout 4 is one of the hardest games for me to review because I still do not completely know how I feel about it. I tried to get into it several times and failed. Even this time, I had to push myself through parts of the game. But after finishing the story, exploring the Commonwealth, completing the DLCs, and getting every achievement, I am happy I finally did it. The world and exploration are easily the highlights. Bethesda is extremely good at pointing you somewhere and then making you completely forget your objective because you found something interesting along the way. The combat frustrated me, the performance was awful at times, and the role-playing did not always feel as reactive as I wanted. But there is still a huge, fun post-apocalyptic game underneath all of those problems. If you already enjoy Bethesda games, you probably know exactly what you are getting into. For everyone else, I still think Fallout 4 is worth trying. Just be prepared to fight the game itself occasionally along with everything in the Commonwealth.
