this was very good on the tv
TL/DR; One of my least favourites as far as Fallout games go. It is exactly what you would expect from a Bethesda open world game. Lots and lots of the same types of missions, npcs, environm, ents and game mechanics. With a heap of DLC that adds more of the same. Stock standard Bethesda open world game mechanics, missions and NPCs. A pretty mid FPS overall with some great stories in the mix. I have the HD dlc and run it on my system with zero issues. Game looks great with the HD pack. Not stunning but a significant improvement overallf rom the vanilla install. I am not sure why others have had frame rate and crashing issues as my system specs are not the best (not terrible) and it plays at 144 fps with rarely a stutter and almost no crashes. It is a Bethesda open world RPG FPS. SO it is vast, with a huge map, lots of missions and lots of characters to interact with, which means that missions and npc interaction tend to be incredibly repetative. There are some great story ideas here but hte main mission tends to drag it out longer than it needs to. Many of the side missions are the usual go to point a), kill/collect/explore then return to starting point and repeat. Sometimes it adds a point b, c and etc to drag things out that little bit more. Gunplay is stock standard Bethesda FPS nothing groundbreaking or new here. Still it works well within the gameworld. There has been almost no change to the combat since fallout 3. Overall I enjoy this game and recognise that it is pretty mid, and at its core, it is a stock standard Bethesda cookie cut open world game wrapped in a really nice post apocolyptic skin.

A fun buggy Bethesda game with lots do do and more than enough people to dismember. It's a bit annoying that you are very squishy if not in a power armor, so the game basically forces you to don a suit of armor. Would romance Cait a fourth time 10/10
