Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 7.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I have played the pirated version of it, a decade ago.Bought this just to support them, It was 10/10 at that time, it is still 10/10 but we cant play it because they have bricked it or it is broken and doesnt play well on modern PC. So, may be dont buy it, wait for the reboot/remake which is in works. Unable to play it in full screen, doesnt support ultrawide resolutions. They updated it last in 2024 and we now know that they are remaking this game and this game is bricked now. One can only play this in widnowed mode on modern PCs, at a max 1080p ratio, else it just shows black screen. Earlier it was phones who use to brick or slow the phones with an update just before releasing a newer phone, may be game studios are learning from them... Even after hours of playtime, the steam fails to register the actual playtime, The windowed game freezes a lot and the steam instead of showing an option to stop, shows an option to launch the game (play button instead of stop button), which means steam is only tracking the game's launcher (fallout3 launcher .exe) and not the fallout3.exe...

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Fantastic
very great game.Im glad i gave it a chance and i got hooked with the series
Definitely the shortest entry of the 3D fallout games, but still fun the whole way through. My playtime is a tad inflated from idle time, but overall I would estimate my playthrough of just the main story with side exploration here and there took me roughly 25 hours. (I still have more of the map to explore as well as the DLCs) I think the dislike for this game is a bit overblown. While I agree with the sentiment that New Vegas is better in comparison, the game itself is still worthwhile and equally as interesting as any other fallout. I will say however, this was by far the lbuggiest Fallout I've played. Now, I did play on Linux and didn't install any patches for the game (considering most people on ProtonDB claimed the game was perfectly playable), but I will say it was better than the experience from when I tried playing through it on Windows. There were multiple times my compass would get stuck and Galaxy News Radio never played any music after
repairing the relay dish
for some reason. Those were the two biggest issues I found with the game. I was also forced to cap the game to 60FPS to avoid intermittent crashes that would occur in certain quests and when fast travelling. As far as the story goes... yeah it's alright. Like Fallout 4 forces you to care about your son you've known for 3 seconds, where Fallout 3 forces you to care about your dad you've known for 5 minutes... so that's good at least. But the whole plot of the game just feels very weak and it's not played out how I would have hoped. Things just happen wayyyy to fast to even have a second to care about what's going on. Both New Vegas and 4 make you feel like you're gone on this grand adventure by the time you reach the end of the game. When I got to the final mission in this game, I legitimately had close to 60% of the map unexplored. And that'd not because I didn't have the urge to explore, I definitely did. The game just gave me no incentive to do so. I already had good weapons and perks by the time I got there that there was no drive for me to go out looking for new things. Not to mention navigating the wasteland in this game is pretty odd. You're forced to take metro stations in order to get to different locations within the city, and it just makes everything feel really claustrophobic. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this game to anyone interested in playing a fallout entry.
