Weave at ever-increasing speeds in this freefall simulator of sorts, collecting achievements along the way. It's challenging, to be sure, but not for the right reasons: Clipping, sluggish horizontal velocity, and then pure guessing in late stages make for an unduly frustrating experience.
Steam has no shortage of cheap achievement games, of which Fall Down barely distinguishes itself from -- The title screen goes so far as to even advertise what you can unlock in its very own menu. And while there is nothing wrong with affordable micro-games, Fall Down doesn't pay much of any attention to the player experience.
Getting to the point, the game has numerous flaws:
❌ Bland, boring graphics. Likely a stock asset pack cobbled together ❌ Fails to communicate controls. Realizing that shift allowed sprinting and high speed dodge was a game changer ❌ Mouse loses focus, especially on dual monitors, causing all kinds of problems ❌ Clipping on the starting platform. You have to get enough velocity to clear it, or jump ❌ Invisible hitbox. Probably the worst offender, you'll die repeatedly simply because you don't know how close you can skirt the obstacles on crowded stages. Viewing direction seems to matter as well ❌ Extremely sluggish horizontal velocity is beyond frustrating to maneuver against ❌ The last set of stages introduce multiple exits that you literally have to complete by trial and error
In the spirit of fairness, what the game does right:
✅ It's difficult, which is evidence of intentional design ✅ All achievements work, implying the developer did test the stages to ensure the game was possible to complete Should you buy it? Not unless you're an achievement masochist. It's painful and potentially rage inducing as you fail repeatedly for reasons outside of your control. The falling simulator concept is viable, but it requires responsive controls, greater visibility of upcoming obstacles and your avatar's hitbox to enable you to dodge them, and something--anything-- to keep the exercise from becoming bland, like powerups or collectibles. Why not allow platforming? One stage even included a checkpoint but then immediately tossed out the idea. Wait for the steepest sale or bundle. Achievement Hunters: Complete every stage. ~1hr to 100% depending on luck and skill Thank you bron99 for the contribution.

this game is so bad nont buy it the hit boxes are way out then you think and you die before you touch the object in your way it would be fine if you had legs which you dont and all you hear is ohhh or ahhhh.
Надеюсь разработчик не забросить эту игру и создасть другие уровни./ Though the game is small and simple(he passed for one hour)but you can play.Hopefully the developer will not forget this game and create other levels.
bad controls and start area clipping is bad 3/10
Fall Down is a, well, I guess the kindest way to describe this is as a first person 3D platformer, but really, it's a low poly minimalist "falling" simulator where your objective is to jump off a ledge and fall to the target, steering yourself as you fall. That's all there is to it. Flappy Bird is more sophisticated. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Fall Down is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
