short and sweet.
Cozy and vibey pixel art game that mainly revolves around delivering packages, with a few mechanics to switch things up a bit. Wished there was more content but hopefully more gets added in the future. Would recommend for people that want to have a chill time.
A short game (less than ten hours) in which you deliver packages to various characters and discover the island's secret history. Gameplay is simple and approachable, although the unavoidable timed-reaction minigames required to travel around the map can be a little repetitive or frustrating. Also, there aren't many hints for where to go next, which pushes players into exploring new areas or conversations for progression. Graphics have large, easy-to-see pixels and could work well on smaller screens. Overall, the game was easy to pick up or put down, approachable even for new or younger players, and explored a unique techno-history setting.
Cozy Game 10/10
The game is very sweet, I did enjoy getting to know the characters through what packages they send to each other, and the exploration was fun, even though it was annoying that most of the buildings in the game lack interiors. Sadly, the gameplay is incredibly repetitive, and as you repeat many of the same packages over and over, their storytelling value is diminished. Additionally, despite an intriguing hook, the narrative is quite generic, and the ending is so abrupt I assumed it was a crash until the credits rolled.
Peaceful delivery game where Callum brings parcels to islanders, offering soothing exploration of the island’s secret, though its slow pace and repetitive obstacles may not be for everyone. You play as Callum, a new parcel delivery worker assigned to a quiet, remote island. Once a thriving tourist destination, the island has since grown still. Its only residents are a handful of elderly people, too frail to make the long walk to the post office. You’re not alone on this job, though. You’re accompanied by a personal drone, a common sight in the cities across the sea. On the mainland, drones have already taken over most kinds of labor, but on this forgotten island, life still moves at an older pace. At first glance, the game looks like a classic adventure title or a small-scale RPG. But appearances are deceiving. This isn’t about saving kingdoms or slaying monsters, It’s a peaceful, reflective experience centered on something much simpler. The controls are straightforward. You move, interact, and occasionally solve small spatial puzzles, but there are no combat systems, inventories full of gear, or moral choices. Instead, you just do your job, which is delivering packages, letters, and odd little items between the few islanders who remain. Though there aren’t many of them, the residents are connected, constantly sending things to one another. That means there’s always work to do, even if it’s quiet work. Each successful delivery pushes the story gently forward, revealing a little more about the island and the people who inhabit it. The closest thing to a “challenge” lies in organizing your backpack. Each item has a specific size and shape, and fitting them in is like a calm puzzle. You can rotate them to squeeze things into corners, but you’ll quickly realize that not everything can be done in a single day. Time is the invisible boundary that defines your routine. Each time you move to a new location, not just a new screen but an actual area of the island, time passes. The island isn’t vast, yet it’s divided into distinct places: the docks, the farm, the radio tower, and a few more secluded spots. Each has its own look, and usually, one of the islanders lives there. They might wander around within their location, but they’ll never leave it entirely. Traveling between scenes within a location doesn’t consume time, but shifting to another area does. How much time passes depends on where you go, though you can purchase a helpful pamphlet near the docks to make travel a little quicker. Time matters because you need to rest. The day ends when you return to the post office and sleep, and it can be done at any time. But if you stay up too late, you’ll collapse and wake up there the next morning without any punishment. You also have to manage energy, though it doesn’t drain from simple walking. Energy is spent when running or crossing obstacles, like balancing on a fallen log or hopping over stones in a stream. These moments turn into small, simple mini-games. They’re not difficult, but they can be tricky if your backpack is too heavy. Every obstacle takes a bit of your energy, and the heavier your load, the more tiring it becomes. Failing a mini-game costs extra energy and might even damage your parcels. Fail too many times, and an item might break altogether. But even this “failure” doesn’t really hurt you. Broken items will simply be replaced by the sender, and you can try again later. There’s no strict schedule, no countdown timers, no lost missions. You can accept a package, sleep for several days, and deliver it whenever you please. Now and then, you’ll receive special requests to find items around the island, things like mushrooms, logs, or records. Some appear only at certain times, such as mushrooms that glow at night. Deliveries earn you money, which you can use to buy new shoes or expand your backpack. Better shoes let you run faster and climb to reach new areas, even opening rare shortcuts to make future trips smoother. However, the island’s little mini-games never disappear entirely, and they’re the only reason deliveries become a bit tiresome after a while. If you ever forget where your next delivery should go, the post office’s map will guide you. There are no enemies, no dangerous encounters, and no way to get stuck. Still, you must remember to save manually. Sleeping doesn’t auto-save, so forgetting to do so before quitting means losing your entire progress since the last save. There are no collectibles or side-quests, only a few shrines scattered across the island. Lighting them makes you slightly less tired when crossing obstacles.
it’s like a cozy death stranding without the weapons and long cutscenes. definitely recommend if you’re looking for something to finish over a weekend
Cute pixel art style? Check. Vibey music? Check. Intriguing story? Check. This and all the lil mechanics with storage management and also the mini games trying to get from A to B; ticks a lot of the boxes when it comes to cozy, chill games I enjoy! I definitely recommend this if you're looking for something relaxing and wholesome to play. A word of caution though to those who may be prone to headaches/migraines/motion sickness, some of the really smooth transitions may bother you a bit, as it triggered a bit of my motion sickness as well. Hoping that there's an update that may help with this in the future. Overall though, definitely give this game a go!
