very fun lots of puzzles
If I could give a mixed review, I would. But I'm leaning more towards positive as I still had a good time with the game! All the designs, from the environments to static items, were well made. The story had me hooked, and reminded very much of The Thing! I liked how with each time we progressed we got more pieces of the story, not only in notes but from environmental story telling too. Many of the puzzles I very much liked too! I liked been able to work it out on pen and paper, and giving my brain a work out, which many games don't do a lot of nowadays. The only negative I have is with some of the puzzles it requires you to have some knowledge of science stuff. Although that could just be a me thing as it's been over a decade since I needed to use anything I learned back in high school, which wasn't much. There was also right at the beginning where you had to find the key. It was really hard to see as it blended in with the environment. It was also a bit hard to tell what you could, and couldn't, click on. Which led to me spam clicking around the screen to see what was interactable.
a point-and-click horror game that has you tense and compelled through the whole thing. a fairly short experience (depending on your ability to solve the puzzles), but there is much to praise about this game! people call it a "hidden object" game, and it's certainly technically in that genre, but it's not quite as scavenger-hunt-y as like, my brother rabbit, or something similar. you'll be hunting for objects, but it's far from the main element of this game. the story is simple, but unfolds in an interesting way, and for those who struggle with the puzzles, the hint system is VERY forgiving, and will just straight up give you answers if you're really really struggling, though if you require gentle nudges, the game doesn't really give you that. certainly worth far more than the 99 cents i got it for. also; there are no jumpscares or chase sequences or anything of that nature. just great atmosphere and creepy imagery!
Great little game that you can finish in 2-5 hours. Controls are super basic. Point and click, no free look, and you can't even right click to go back. But some clever puzzles, good environment, and interesting story.
good short game bad technical controls good story small interactions
Some really good puzzles, hard but satisfying to suss. Story is fine, worked using Proton, bargain on sale. Enjoyed the simpler UI but did accidentally click the hint button once, which didn't ask for confirmation, that was annoying. Found this after playing 1st chapters of Aurora Hills/Meridian 157 and it reminded me a lot of those.
A short "horror" point and click game, that reminds a LOT of The Thing. It's nice, looks good, some puzzles are a bit meh, it's sad you can't play both endings without playing the whole game again (which i didn't bother).
Thought this was very good value for the money. Took about 7hrs - with no hints used - and only really got stuck a few times for a relatively short time. Mostly it's just proceeding through the game with some good puzzles long the way. Most of the puzzles are also fairly logical and realistic - solving passwords etc.All in all a very good shortish game.
