Fabulous 5: New York to LA (Dash-TM) Game provided for Curator review A stronger emphasis on gameplay than in previous games, with a ton of brand new additions to enjoy! TL; DR - Skip down to the Verdict at the end. Options are simply Sound and Music on/off, Show Game Hints, Full-screen and choice of language (MANY to choose from!) There is no choice of difficulty, but this can be as hard as you want it to be! Story: Angela is impetuous, strong-willed, fun, a little naughty and above all driven to succeed. When a famous actress in LA decides that Angela is the perfect person to design her dress for an upcoming awards show, Angela enthusiastically agrees... The only problem is that the actress is on-set, so Angela will have to go to Hollywood The lure of fame is strong, but is Angela strong enough to keep hold herself while she chases her dreams? Gameplay: If you're a fan of the series, then you already know the basics, so I'm going to focus on what's different instead (and there's a lot!) Call Button - You can call in as many clients at once as you wish. These aren't extra clients -- You have a set number of people that will come to your store every day -- but each person you call in early will shorten the level a bit (as indicated by a green area on the timer), and there is a nice scoring bonus for finishing early. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1928816799 Scoring - We now have a 5-star scoring system. You'll earn stars whilst you play, and there can be bonuses during the end-of-level screen that might bump your star-rating higher. The nice thing is that the star-rating is cumulative. In other words, if you play the level over again, it will add to your existing stars! Money - You keep every cent you make during levels. Gone is the 300-coin max from previous games. We're here to make money, honey, and you're going to need it for UPGRADES! Store Upgrades - The store is now a list that you can scroll (horizontally) through. Some of the upgrades are tiered (pay to upgrade a second time to improve performance, etc.) and many can be customized, with at least two designs to choose from. New Products have to be added manually! In previous games new products were added to our stores automatically. Now we have to: 1. Finish designing them (there are many designing levels scattered throughout the game) 2. Purchase the new items from the Products tab in the Store (which will pop up before you enter each level). There are usually two styles to choose from, so customize to your heart's content! Customers will pay more for the items you unlock, so keep that in mind! Boosters - This is what we spend our diamonds on. Boosters are buttons on the side of the screen that will help us during levels. Things like increasing customer happiness, instant-restocking, expanding your tray size (temporarily), make Angela walk faster and more! Only certain boosters are available per level, and there's a timer on them, so use them wisely! Skill Tree - Angela now has experience points and goes up levels, which will give you hearts to spend on her abilities. Hearts can also be obtained through gifts (explained below). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1928817097 Gift Boxes - There are two types of gift boxes that you can earn, and multiple ways to do so! Gift levels, earning trophies, completing daily challenges and going up levels are some of the ways you can earn them. The purple gifts are harder to get, but usually contain the hearts you need to upgrade Angela's abilities! Daily Challenges - There are three challenges available at once, each with its own mini-reward. Complete 20 challenges to get yourself one of the purple gift boxes! Goals can include things such as making x-number of quick-bonuses, completing x-number of levels, catching a certain number of mice and more! Pro tip: The best location for making 10 customers angry is Level 32. ;D Trophies/Achievements - Trophies are obtained by earning achievements, and you'll be able to collect a gift for each one you unlock! You have to manually claim them, so don't forget to check! HOW Many Levels?!? - 185 standard levels... 185! Include the challenges and you have a grand total of 265 levels! These levels can be short -- especially if you're calling in a lot of customers at once -- and there are the aforementioned designing levels included in this number, but still... WOW! Endless Mode - Endless Mode is just that -- Endless. There is no timer, no certain goal to accomplish... Just play until you "lose". There is a pause between "shifts" to give us a chance to restock things, but it's short, so it's a real challenge to keep progressing! You can play for as long as you are making points, but go too long without scoring something, and it's level-over. Every 24 hours you can spin for a new location to play in, and heads up... You need to be sure to upgrade everything you can before trying EM, or you won't be able to get a very high score! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1929660241 Verdict: This is a very LONG game for a dash-type TM (I'm working on getting all of the achievements, and already have logged 23 hours), but it's really well-designed. The revamp to the gameplay makes it more fun and more challenging, but it takes longer to progress through the story, which could be an issue for some players. The mini-games are all enjoyable, the gameplay overall does not feel repetitive in the slightest, and although Angela made some cringe-worthy decisions along the way, I am very happy with how the game ended. A Fabulous addition to the series!
As every GameHouse's game, played this one with pure joy and happiness. Just finished this game after 21 hours active and obsessive gameplay (21 hours for 4 days, you can call me no-lifer, yea), but this game was really so addictive, that I couldn't stop until I finished all challenges/trophies/achievements. I think this is the best game until now which GameHouse made, because it's really long (185 standard levels and 60 bonus ones). Game also has few new features, like boosts and achievement related with "being at least 3rd place in endless mode" (which is so nice challenge by my opinion). Music is same lovely one, which is still spin around in my head and I am singing it, lol). Anyway, if you are fan of this gametype and following this excellent developer/publisher - you must play this one, because it's so much better than all those before. Thanks GameHouse for this wonderful masterpiece, which made me glued for PC chair last few days. ❤ P.S. Got this game via friend's curator, huge thanks to her also for always making me happy with GameHouse games! 😊
The content in the stages are anemic, and the only challenge is mustering the will to complete all the levels.
(以下是机翻) After a long time , I finally got the game full of five stars, and I don't plan to do all the achievements. Talk about personal feelings: 1. The difficulty of the level becomes lower. (Personally, I don't think it is good. After all, it comes with a challenging attitude. Every derivative of Emily series, its difficulty is positioned in the hearts of old players.) 2. The story is fragmented, and there are too many levels, so only a little can be seen at each level, which is matched with Angela's personal behavior and daily myocardial infarction. (This is not an online game, I hope you don't try the water indiscriminately) 3. The arrangement of gold coins is unreasonable. Although there are so many checkpoints, it is impossible to rise to the stage if you only watch the story, but if you play all the checkpoints once, the gold coins are too rich. Plus, I don't want to use props, which leads to the exaggeration of gold coin redundancy. At last, when I got the five-star achievement, my gold coins were 1.9 million+,and there were countless useless diamonds. . . 4. We can't say all the shortcomings. Let's boast a little: a. The stage is really beautiful, and several scenes are comfortable after upgrading to the highest level. B. There are some insinuations about the popularity of this dress in recent years, but it is a bit interesting. C Angela's personal upgrade system has done a good job, and it has been upgraded slowly as the plot progresses, instead of spending money at every level as before. D, although she broke up, her boyfriend is very good, so I hope they can get back together soon. 5. If Emily didn't have a new work in her body or side branch for nearly two years, I might have a hard time getting this work through customs clearance. After all, I bought it all, i think if I bought it ,it means played it. Besides, I really want to go back and play the old work compared with Angela's previous works. (yes, I am in the rush! ! ! ) These are all personal opinions. If the production team can see them, I hope they can consider one or two. Looking forward to new works.
I've played all of the Angela games, and this one is the worst of them all. There is barely any plot, you get the story only at the start of the level, and of course not on everyone, because they added a bunch of simple as heck design levels, award levels, and special levels. What I also dislike is making this game so simple and repetitive. Also the bonuses that you cant buy makes the game easy as heck. Really didn't enjoy this one probably will stop playing them if they dont change it. A real disappointment.
Worth every penny, for the amount of levels and bonus levels it's worth buying!! It's not just 60 levels anymore, make it 186 of them. I love how you can upgrade Angela, making it easier achieving 5 stars with every level and not repeating them. I really enjoyed the fact that you can customise Angela's shops and putting your own spin on it, all I'm asking is to please add an extra finger to the characters (4 isn't enough, it's weird and alien like). Over all I enjoyed the story, love the new cut scenes being so interactive as well. Hopefully Angela will get married soon, seeing she left fashion to find herself. Looking forward to what's next!!
