For an enemy kill to be of any use, you have to pick up a small speck of dust it leaves behind after dying. This gives you points and charges your weapon. The speck of dust is white. White is good. For an enemy kill to really count, you have to pick up the drop it leaves behind. This is a multiplier, which is the only way to get any meaningful score. The multiplier is white. White is good. Enemies spawn from white dots. If you're there when the enemy spawns, you immediately die. White is bad. Destroying some enemies will leave behind their post-mortem projectiles, which are red, but they are white before they spawn. If you're there when they turn red, you immediately die. White is bad. The attack that you'll use for clearing swarms leave a white cloud behind. White is neutral, but reduces visibility. It especially of other white things inside it, like some things you really need to grab as soon as possible (they disappear really quickly), and some things you really need to not touch at all. Peak design for a bullet hell game. Also, while I really appreciate the game being very simple -- without any currencies you have to grind for shops and unlocks, and without any character/build system -- it's very tedious to always start from the beginning which is not challenging one bit. You have to spend three minutes basically waiting for enemies to appear and slashing them, only to get about a minute and a half of... well, white problems described above. And the better you get, the longer you have to wait until the fun part begins. Another thing that really irks me is the lives system. You have three lives, but on each life loss your multiplier reset back to 1. This would make sense if the multiplier had a relatively low maximum that's re-achievable in a minute or so. but the multiplier is unbound, and is the source of actual score you get. Each speck is worth only 5 points. So with a multiplier of x30, you get back down to x1, and you have to start building it up again. Even if you collect it back to x30, you'll end up having only about 40% of the score you'd have if you didn't die in the middle. If you die again at x30, you'd end up having only 33% of the score you'd have it you didn't die at all. So what's the point? It's not like there's a checkpoint that you're trying to reach. It's not like there's any story you're trying to see. It's not like there's anything new waiting for you if you keep playing. You'd just be wasting your time that's better spent on... ah right, on waiting for three more minutes to get to the fun part of the game... which is... a lot of white stuff that might be a pickup or an enemy spawn... Sigh. The white problem would be easily solvable just by choosing a different color. Not much to say here. The other problem would be solvable by adding checkpoints after a set number of waves. On deaths, start from the previous checkpoint. You can still lose your multiplier -- but there's an incentive to keep going: you get to stay longer in the difficulty you're practicing for. Then also allow me to start from any of the checkpoints I've reached. Since my multiplier will be low right from the start, it wouldn't be a good way to chase high scores anyway, so a "real" run where you go for the millions would still play out exactly the same as they do now.
Fun Retro Arcade To Down Hack and slash game. No Story, no multiplayer, just Leaderboard, Weapons, PvE It's Cheap, No Bull-shi#, fun to play when you want to Release stress. Worth it, although it can be a lil bit grindy on 100% this one
i can’t believe it's not popular yet!!! it's so fun and satisfying to break the "swarms", even tho it makes me go cray cray everytime i die 😭🙏 9/10 i recommend :D
+Unique and varied weapon and enemy variety -Feels a bit unfair when screen becomes saturated with enemies, about 8 minute mark (weapons don't move fast enough to cover 360 degrees) -Achievments are too grindy A well priced and fun high score chaser/time waster
cool
