A gift from the past!!! High def, very stable, excellent performance!

Excellente remise à jour du classique de DiD. Meilleure prise en charge des HOTAS du moment. Graphisme peu changé mais en haute résolution. Polices plus claires pour les écrans et le HUD. Suivi sérieux et mises à jour régulières depuis la sortie. Elimination de bons nombre de bugs du jeu d'origine. J'attends un Total Air War Remastered avec impatience ! F-22 ADF et TAW restent à ce jour les SEULS simulateurs du marché à proposer un mode AWACS pour le joueur solo.

Awesome game, awesome version for modern pcs that also runs smoothly under Linux. And: They still improve it. The recent update fixes a bug from the original version of 1997 (frozen MFDs) and other subtle but important details.

Months after release Joystick axes still don't work correctly. Basically, both throttle and rudder show going from 0 to 100 in the controls menu as they should. But in every mission they re changing their start, middle and end points as they like. Imagine mouse look in a shooter being bugged months after release...

Looks great, runs smooth, no crashes. This is just like it schould be done, including support for high resolutions, Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering. -And that on very low specs, like my passively cooled notebook :)

This game is a classic; I played it as a kid. Perhaps the only thing it's missing, in my opinion, is an option to remap keys, since I play on a laptop without a number pad, which makes some functions and the ability to assign more keys to the joystick difficult. On another note, I had some problems with the HOTAS X55, but I managed to get it working by downloading VJOY. If anyone needs this, the first thing to do is connect the controllers, install VJOY, and finally open the game. After that, the game detects it perfectly.

The flight sim genre has been dominated by ultra realistic offerings for the beter part of the last 2 decades. With the arcade space being heralded by the likes of Ace Combat and Project Wingman. F-22 Air Dominance Fighter offers the perfect middle point in between the simple arcade enjoyment and the serious study sim, based on the concepts and ideas around the F22 right before its launch. Even though this was reversed engineered from the ground up with native support for hotas, head tracking and up to 4k resolution on top of upgraded graphics, make no mistake for this is at its core still a game from 1997. That means minimal hud for complete immersion and challenging difficulty. After you finish the training missions, you can jump on the tours of duty (this game's campaign system) each campaign mission must be completed in order but you can hop in between tours freely. The 2 revolutionary features are the ability in some missions to hop in the AWACS which allows you to control other flights as if playing an rts while still being able to jump on the cockpit of any f22 at any time. And EMCON, which is a dynamic stealth system that ranges from 1 to 5 in increasing levels of radar visibility and offensive/defensive capabilities (missile locking, countermeasures, radar detection, etc.) This is a full fledged stealth system a year before Thief and Metal Gear Solid. Add to all this a really robust AI and command system for your wingmans.
