About
EXFIL is a large-scale tactical infantry shooter built around teamwork, communication, and dynamic battlefield operations. Fight through hostile combat zones in PvP, PvPvE, and cooperative Combat Ops scenarios where AI factions clash across the map in real time. Hunt objectives, intercept enemy forces, extract critical intel, or survive long enough to escape the warzone alive.
Designed for players who want grounded tactical combat without artificial grind, EXFIL focuses on immersive infantry gameplay, meaningful decision-making, and re-playable combat encounters instead of loot treadmills or hero-style abilities.
EXFIL removes unnecessary friction and focuses on tactical gameplay first.
No character classes.
No magical abilities.
No endless progression grind.
No gear-score treadmill.
Just infantry combat, communication, situational awareness, and tactical decision-making.
Deploy into active conflict zones where hostile AI factions battle dynamically across the map. Complete randomized objectives, avoid enemy patrols, intercept reinforcements, or exploit the chaos to complete your mission and extract alive.
Secure intel and escape before rival teams cut off your route. Every engagement matters and only one team may survive the operation.
Coordinate assaults against defended anti-air systems while opposing forces establish layered defenses and counterattacks.
Track, protect, or eliminate high-value targets in tense objective-driven firefights where positioning and communication decide the outcome.
Fast-paced tactical firefights focused on pure infantry combat, map knowledge, and squad coordination.
EXFIL’s objective-based gameplay is fast-paced and straight to the point, offering infantry combat that balances realism with accessibility. Whether playing solo, teaming up with friends, or squaring off against other players, you’ll experience scenarios that demand tight communication, calculated movement, and sharp tactical skills.
It’s not just other players you’ll have to contend with - local forces are organized into squads that dynamically patrol, guard key locations, and actively hunt down threats across the map, keeping every match unpredictable and dangerous.
Fight across seven handcrafted maps featuring dense forests, industrial zones, military camps and tropical jungles. With a 24-hour day/night cycle and fully simulated weather systems, matches are always unpredictable and ever-changing. Sandstorms, fog, and rainstorms will push your adaptability and ‘on-the-fly’ team tactics to the limit.
EXFIL’s combat zones are active war environments — not static arenas.
AI factions patrol, reinforce positions, launch assaults, respond to gunfire, and fight over strategic territory across the map. Helicopter insertions, roaming patrols, hunter squads, and reactive enemy behavior create operations that evolve differently every round.
No two deployments unfold the same way.
EXFIL’s fully simulated ballistics model accounts for bullet drop, penetration and ricochet. Combine this with realistic player movement, weapon handling, and VOIP-enhanced communication - including proximity chat, and every match becomes a test of skill and strategy.

With a dedicated Discord community of over 4,000 members, EXFIL is constantly evolving based on player feedback. Self-hosted servers and dedicated hosting options give you precise control over gameplay rules and settings, whilst detailed after-action reviews allow teams to analyze every hit, shot, and movement.
EXFIL is more than just its core game modes. Players have the freedom to customize their experience by adjusting a wide range of game parameters - from AI presence on the map to time of day, weather, available weapons, and respawn rules - allowing them to create unique challenges, and playstyles to suit any preference.

Reviews
This game is so atrocious that it wasn't even worth the time to right this review. The graphics are from 2003, the AI are from 1996, the gun play is clunkier than minecraft on mobile at 15 fps, the voice acting is...there. The default controls are the most unintuitive things I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. The map feels like it was designed by the lowest IQ marine you can find who regurgitated his crayons onto a notepad. The ragdoll animations are the best part, cause they're wild. The AI has the representative number of braincells as half of the US congressional members. I bought the game on sale for $12.99, it was still not worth it. If I got the game for free I'd still be asking for a refund. They'd have to pay me to play it, like they did for all these positive reviews. Not even Call of Slop Epstein Warfare could've let me down this hard.
Great potential! Single player is great! Needs a little smoothing out in some places. Feels good though. Maps are huge and detailed. Being able to see players tracks in the snow makes for interesting gameplay. Can be played low and slow if preferred. Consistent updates. Responsive dev. Hopefully indefinitely, :) Support the dev!
If you're looking for a milsim style extraction shooter without having to grind for gear then look no further. Exfil is the perfect balance between casual and sweaty! Pick a loadout, helicopter in and complete a mission and get out. PvE is my go to and dont think its a walk in the park because they will light you up. I personally think its worth a shot and if you are questioning the purchase you can wait until they do a free to play weekend and I promise you will enjoy.
this game has come a long way man and the devs, 2 cool dudes btw, are gamers and are actually building the game they want to play. updates are pretty quick, and the new game mode combat ops is such a cool and unique thing man! i have never seen a mode quite like it.
I had been following this game for a couple years now, played its early pvp playtests and had alot of fun. I had been putting off buying the game since i know the player base is small and it being a pvp game hadn't been able to bring myself to invest. Checked in on the game last week and realized they added a coop/solo pve mode and decided to give it a shot, I was expecting performance to be pretty decent because of my experience in the playtests but I didnt really anticipate much for the AI or solo experience. It honestly surprised me so much how comprehensive the AI felt in fighting around the beautiful maps. Their decisions were very readable but also felt perceptive. I lost a few members of the group multiple times for a good minute before they gave away their position when i was vulnerable, in the few solo missions ive played so far i have really enjoy the game loop over all.
Purchased early 2025 for the PvE Co-op, fully aware the tactical extraction space was saturated. Thumbs down isn't about the price; it’s about the lack of a viable ecosystem. Community consistently in the single digits and split between experimental and stable branches. This fragmentation ensures that neither version looks healthy; even during free weekends, the active player count fails to gain any real traction. While Solo play is decent at first, the missions become boring and repetitive after only a few sessions. There's just not enough variety or depth to sustain a solo only experience. If a refund option were offered in the next update, I would take it in a heartbeat.
this game sucks
Game rules
Looks good. Still need to get used to gun movement being kinda detached from your camera. I would say looks as good as Reforger (and better than Black One Blood Brother... though maybe I need to figure out better settings on that one?) I have RTX 3060 and it did not even get very hot. Like 58 C on everage. I mainly played against bots.
