About

You are Max Ventura, an ordinary delivery guy working for Megazon. When a dimensional rift tears through your warehouse, everything changes. You are pulled into Erath, a fantasy world tainted by ancient relics from Earth.
Armed with the Quantum Glove and the powers granted by the Dimensional Guardians, you must journey across a realm of dragons, mutant creatures, and magic.
Recover lost Earth artifacts, grow stronger, survive deadly traps, and uncover the truth about the First Chosen, a mysterious figure who failed the same mission long before you.

In EXD, your hands are your greatest weapon.
Every object reacts with astonishing realism: feel the weight of the weapons you wield, the texture of every surface you touch, and the precision of full physical interaction.
The Quantum Glove grants you telekinetic power. Summon fireballs between your palms, hurl ice spikes, and unleash devastating lightning bolts.
You’ll feel the energy vibrate through your fingertips.
The world of Erath is filled with secrets. Survive traps, solve puzzles, and discover legendary weapons and artifacts, the Minar Alloy Blades, the Wands, and the Timelox, capable of slowing time itself.
When your glove’s energy runs low, these relics become your lifeline against fully physical enemies.
Undead hordes, mutant insects, Dragonids, and powerful wizards serving the Emperor will stop at nothing to keep you from cleansing Erath of Earth’s corruption.
Explore every forgotten corner... and uncover treasures powerful enough to change your destiny.
EXD brings the world of Erath to life with breathtaking visual fidelity, inspired by classic fantasy artists Frank Frazetta and Boris Vallejo.
Explore vast crystal caverns, witness stunning landscapes, and descend into ancient underground temples that will leave you speechless.
The orchestral soundtrack evolves dynamically with your actions, sweeping melodies for exploration, intense arrangements for battle.
With 3D spatial audio, you’ll hear the wind howl through the canyons, the roar of a creature behind stone walls, and the crackle of lightning surrounding you.
A world so vivid, you’ll forget the danger lurking behind its beauty.

Really buggy game / physics but the story and mechanics are fun, 6/10
This is a masterfully crafted VR game with exceptional graphics and fluid well designed gameplay. This is very demanding on hardware and I wouldn't approach max settings without a at least a RTX 4090 or RX 9070 XT, and even those cards run close to max load with this game.
It was... ok overall, but it's defenetly it's not polished enough at that point. I can say that I even liked it (so review is positive), and i know that it was small indie studio who made it, so it expected to have some rough parts. But some things clearly needs to be fixed for it will be complete game: 1. Unpolished levels. Several times during playthrogh i clipped through walls/floor and had to restart segment. In many cases you can reach point of the level where you can just stare in out of bounds space, here is holes everywhere. In some parts you can softlock yourself if you like to explore levels as I do, for example in the "hub" of the crypt levels there is piles of skulls in a small room, and in one corner there is a hole where you can fall through the pile, find yourself beneath the texture of a "pile" and can't get out. 2. Bugs. There is many. Your belt is often situated wrong and you can't interact with it properly. When you try to pick up a thing from the ground you often get a battery from your belt instead, and this is frustrating. There is a weird bug where your slots for batteries are full but belt shows that there is one empty slot. Often you can't pick up a battery from the ground for some reason, button "take" just don't work. It's what I can remember off the top of my head, there is many more. 3. Weapons. Game gives you many "legendary" weapons during the game, but there is no stats for them and I still don't know the difference between them. So there is difficult to know must i throw away my current legendary weapon for a new one or not. On enemies all swords feels the same, but I can't know for sure because there is no stats. 4. Strange difficulty spike with spider boss. Why? It's beatable, but it's a grind. Nothing was so difficult before it and nothing is after it. It needs balancing definitely. 5. Optimistaion. In some parts, especially when elecrtic balls are visible frames drops significantly. I'm sure there is a room for optimisation. 6. Story. I like the premise, feel of the story, intentional goofines but
I was very disappointed when in the end story was not finished. In terms of story player's wondeing in the fire/ice/crypt catacombs meant practically nothing: you don't retrive any earth artifacts, you don't get an answer why mundane things from our dimension is so powerful in this dimension, you don't reunite with your daughter, you don't even kill final baddie. Parts that move plot froward only in the very beginning and in the end, eveything else is just you dungeon crawling. Lyx as a character could be nice companion during the game, but as she appears in the game she almost instanly disappears until the very end. It was also disappointing. I know that making character interaction is difficult, but she could appear from time to time in the dungeons from another side of metal bars and giving you directions, feeding player lore, doing something like push levers when you can't reach them etc. It would make game much more alive.
So right now game feels unfinished but with potential. Fix bugs, polish levels, add more Lyx, give player feeling that he achieve something at the end. And then it will be a really good game.
Pros

Has magic and combat
Full game, not a tech demo
Has modern graphics and options
Made for vr, not just a mod
New story and premise, not based on old IP
Fusion of genres that make it feel unique

Cons

Locomotion is too slow. I'm constantly pained by how long it takes to walk anywhere. Run would be very much appreciated. Jump would also be nice. I see that I can move ever so slightly faster if I keep moving forward while teleporting often as the interface will allow, so that's what I've been doing. But it's still agonizingly slow. I appreciate that when being chased and in fights, the movement speed is automatically increased but that doesn't make up for the slow walking speed and lack of running.
Teleport is too slow and short. Engaging it takes a long time and the distance I can hop is disappointing. It's apparently the only way my character can jump up to things. These limitations make it terrible for trying to be agile or move faster.
Throwing feels terrible. Things drop instead of getting flung.
Unsure how much I can carry. I've discovered 2 belt pockets for objects and 2 shoulder holsters for weapons. I don't seem to have any other places to carry things but I'm not sure. I'd like to carry more.
Not sure what I'll need later. Supplies, weapons, etc. could be important but I have no way of telling weather I should try to bring it or leave it.
Save points are frustrating Needs quick save at least. No fun replaying parts I don't mean to.
Death puzzles aren't fun. These are made worse by the lame save points.
Combat feels weird. Blocking and stabbing with swords doesn't seem to work. Using powers doesn't feel very powerful. Slower frame rates appear to make accuracy harder.
Aiming with hand magic is difficult. I get that it's supposed to be a challenge but some slight thing to help me tell where I'm aiming would seem natural.
Interaction jank. Movement in a lot of places (bumps, elevators, etc.) creates motion and sticking points that don't appear to be intentional.
The internal monologue is a bit cringe to me. I'm guessing it's supposed to be, as an homage to the movie genres that are fuel for magic. Fortunately there isn't too much of it so far and I can turn down that volume. Voice actor accent variation is also confusing, where it's hard to tell if the same person is supposed to be speaking.
Graphics settings vs performance isn't easy to deduce. Default settings were blurry and slow. Turning everything off and low made it better and lowering Steam VR render rez made it a lot faster. But then turning some things back on and higher didn't seem to get as slow as before. It would be nice to get dramatically better performance somehow.
This is a game I was pretty excited for. When I heard that the combat was rough and they were working on making it better, I decided to wait. I generally like to wait for the best version possible of a game. I have mixed feelings about this game after getting almost all the way through it. I really like what they are trying ro do here. The story while nothing amazing is enjoyable enough. I like that we were just a Manga zone employee that got thrown into this battle. I generally find a lot of the premise funny which is intentional by them. The graphics are pretty good. And a lot of the gameplay is good. The biggest problem with the game is the janky combat. This was said to be improved before I started playing, so I'm curious how bad it was at that time. It's not the worst combat I've ever played in VR. Certainly not Assassin's Creed Nexus bad. But it's not great either. The melee combat is very very janky. They did the weight based melee combat that is really good in Saints and Sinners. Unfortunately here it's not quite as good. Your arms just feel floppy when holding a sword with one hand. It is better with two hands but that doesn't help the janky melee combat. And it feels like you should be able to use magic with one hand and a melee weapon with the other, but it just doesn't work well. One issue is that it's hard to aim the magic. There is zero indication of where you are aiming. Also the magic just feels really weak. Some of the fighting areas just don't seem well thought out for how janky the combat can be. I'm constantly getting stuck on things when trying to maneuver around. And it seems the enemies are easily able to get past my sword when trying to block. In fact, they love to go right in front of my face so it's impossible to block. And when you're fighting two human enemies, the combat is way too janky for that. My issues with the combat are mostly against the human enemies. I also had an issue where I tried to use my magic and it hurt me instead and took almost all of my health. The bugs certainly don't help this game either. I've had batteries (which are used to power your magic) get stuck to the ground and I can't pick them up. I've had a bug fling me into the air and I died. I've had bugs block my progress and I have to reload to the last checkpoint. So like I said, I'm very mixed with this game. I am genuinely enjoying everything but the combat, mostly against human enemies. But the combat does have potential to be good. I almost wish they would ditch the weight based combat because in my opinion, it just doesn't work well in this game. If they could improve the combat a bit more in this game, it'd be a real winner. Right now I'd give it a 7/10. I do recommend it, but only if you're willing to put up with the janky combat and some bugs the game has.
Feels pretty low Quality. It's a pretty game, but that's all it's got going for it. I bought this along with Gorn 2 and the entire half hour I gave this game, I was just wanting to quit and play Gorn instead. So I did, and It's amazing. Buy that instead. Despite only play for half an hour, I encountered many bugs. The story moments seemed to be poorly recorded, and acted. I would recommend to the devs to hire some VAs. The game ran well, but text was hard to read. I am on an Index, and rarely have this issue with any other titles. Not sure if it is a bug, or if the devs use a different VR headset. Personally I did not like the combat. I did refund the game, and got a similar, higher reviewed title.
I didn't refund it, because a game with this much hype behind it tends to spur the developer into going borderline crazy with updates and changes. The All Eyes on Me effect. Don't kill yourself over it though buddy! But I really was disappointed, pretty much as soon as the combat started. The game starts really well. I got vibes of Half Life when I first played it as a kid. You turn up to work at an Amazon style warehouse and you're basically just doing your job. It's frustrating that the game operates on 'you F'd up, go back', even at this stage, but it is what it is. It becomes even better when it presents you with this super hot barbarian valkyrie style character with big boobs and visible hairy flange under the armour. If you poke her boobies too many times she slices you in half, which is an odd way to treat the chosen one, but it made me laugh, picturing Morpheus ejecting Neo back into the sewage water because Neo grabbed Morpheus' butt too many times. Machines = Win. Neo = sadge. Morpheus = offended. I'd be lying if I told you this didn't just make me want a version of this game that lets me just speed bag her boobies unrestrained, but it is what it is. You know, just her and me in a room, and that's the game, if you catch my drift WEHEYHEY ;)))) A lot of time clearly went on that section and it shows. But it's what happens right after this that made me realise the game was bad. I walked up to this big egg, now being a veteran gamer, I know big eggs hanging from ceilings are bad, so I attacked it. Nothing. A cutscene animation takes place that lets you move around while it's happening, with a spider-thing emerging from the egg, dropping down disgustingly, getting its bearings, and finally attacking you. I was attacking it for this whole sequence. I have very fast reflexes, I work out in real life and take care of my physical health, so I have struck this spider's umbilical cord, nothing, struck it / stabbed it 30 odd times during this animation, and nothing. Incredibly disappointing and frustrating to hack and slash at a small spider like enemy with a sword and absolutely nothing happens. Then, the actual combat begins. It has an attack with no telegraph, an instantaneous little poke like something from Terraria. I am slashing at it, but noticing that when I enter into its 'AOE zone' it starts triggering these almost animationless attacks. It's not taking any apparent damage. It's not animating to show that I'm hitting it. This is dreadful. Its other attack is a flying charge attack through the air. I had no problem dodging this, but the first time it did this attack, I tried to intercept it with a stab, expecting the spider to just skewer itself on the sword. No, what happened is the spider took a small amount of damage, with no animation or break in its animation, and it hit me through my attack. Once this spider was dead, and I was feeling frustrated, and my heartrate raised for no good reason just fighting a pathetic little spider, I quickly turned the game off. Why bother with this when you have Half Life 2 VR? I haven't even played Alyx but I'd wager it's far superior to this. I can imagine you can just whack headcrabs out of the air like you can in Half Life 2? Why bother with it when you have literally any other VR game? The best thing about it is the woman and the physics surrounding that encounter. And wouldn't you guess it, there's other games that fill that experience out more, and better, too. Overall, the hype was not deserved. Whoever is responsible for starting the hype was probably just enamoured by the boobs section to the point they ignored how bad the combat is. It looks like the developer is actively trying to improve that though, so all is not lost. I would definitely keep your eye on it. If you buy it, do so to support what the developer has in mind, the vision. Not because you're getting that right now.
Virtual Desktop.
