Its a very fun, very broken, trash game. If the creator(s) had the resources of a better studio behind this game, it would probably be one of the top games out right now. There's a lot of cool mechanics, gimmicks, etc. The bosses and enemies are kinda cool, the magic system is very fun, imo, and the jumping, climbing feature, and crafting features are pretty cool. I like that when you craft a potion, the quantity resets when you rest. Most aspects of the game are also pretty broken. I feel like the dodge should be 20% shorter. Enemies show up at glow trees when you revive, fall over, get stuck on the environment, the hit boxes are strange. I just equipped a new weapon and cant see it. I'd recommend buying it if its on sale for $5 or less and go in with low expectations.
This game is completely corrupted by bugs
Men. Pretty boring game.

Ex Natura: Nature Corrupted, developed and published by Blackburne Games Yazılım A.Ş., is an ambitious attempt to fuse souls-like combat design with a mythological, nature-driven world that leans heavily into themes of decay, imbalance, and elemental power. It positions itself within a familiar genre framework but seeks distinction through its environmental identity and philosophical undertones, presenting a world shaped less by human conflict and more by the corruption of something ancient and fundamental. The narrative unfolds in a fragmented, interpretive manner, placing players in the role of Elrih, a being tied to elemental forces and caught in the aftermath of a cataclysm centered around the World Tree. Rather than delivering a straightforward storyline, the game relies on scattered lore, environmental cues, and subtle hints to convey its themes. This approach creates an air of mystery, encouraging players to piece together the history of the world through exploration and observation. While this style aligns well with the genre, it occasionally struggles to establish a strong emotional anchor, as the abstract nature of the story can make it difficult to fully connect with its characters or stakes. Gameplay follows the established principles of souls-like design, emphasizing deliberate combat, stamina management, and pattern recognition. Encounters require patience and precision, with enemies designed to punish careless actions and reward careful timing. The addition of mechanics such as the “Enrage” system introduces moments of heightened intensity, altering the flow of combat and pushing players to adapt quickly. A skill tree system allows for customization, giving players the freedom to shape their approach—whether focusing on melee combat, abilities, or a hybrid playstyle. These systems provide a solid foundation, even if they rarely deviate far from genre conventions. Exploration plays a meaningful role in the overall experience, with the world divided into distinct regions that reflect the game’s central theme of corrupted nature. From cavernous depths to elevated, otherworldly landscapes, each area attempts to convey a sense of environmental storytelling. Hidden paths, collectible resources, and crafting elements encourage players to engage with the world beyond combat, adding layers of progression that extend the gameplay loop. While the structure can feel somewhat linear at times, there is still a sense of discovery that rewards those who take the time to explore thoroughly. Visually, the game leans into a stylized dark fantasy aesthetic, blending organic forms with surreal, almost alien design elements. The environments often succeed in establishing mood, portraying a world that feels both ancient and unstable. Twisted vegetation, crumbling terrain, and otherworldly structures contribute to a consistent sense of unease. While the technical execution may not always match the ambition of its design, the artistic direction helps maintain immersion and gives the game a recognizable identity. Where the experience falters most is in its level of polish. Movement and combat responsiveness can feel uneven, occasionally undermining the precision that the genre demands. At times, actions may not feel as tight or reliable as players expect, which can lead to frustration during more challenging encounters. Additionally, certain aspects of enemy behavior and level design lack the refinement seen in more established titles, creating moments where difficulty feels inconsistent rather than intentionally designed. Despite these issues, Ex Natura: Nature Corrupted retains a certain appeal, particularly for players who are drawn to indie interpretations of souls-like mechanics. Its willingness to experiment with themes and systems, even if not always fully realized, gives it a sense of identity that sets it apart from more derivative entries in the genre. There are moments where its ideas come together effectively, offering glimpses of what the game could achieve with further refinement. Ultimately, Ex Natura: Nature Corrupted is a game defined by its aspirations. It reaches toward the depth and intensity of its inspirations while attempting to carve out its own space through thematic focus and environmental design. While it does not consistently achieve the level of polish or cohesion needed to fully stand alongside the genre’s best, it offers enough substance and atmosphere to make the journey worthwhile for those willing to engage with its imperfections.
