The idea of this game is pretty unique and amazing. I love how you can upgrade your game with chests which contain some sort of an upgrade to the game, really cool mechanic. I'd honestly change the design of the chests with collectibles and other items, because it would be so cool finding a golden chest knowing that will improve your gameplay somehow. The gameplay itself might be frustrating, especially with the battles which are inspired by Final Fantasy (World-Map battles). They appear every 3 seconds, disallowing you to explore the map properly which sucks! I love exploring! The music is wholesome, I really loved it and added some to my fav's playlist The story is really linear and just here, it's really basic. Because of it I couldn't feel the characters properly and the lore itself. But overall, I recommend playing this game! But it's really short, like, I beat it in 4 hours
Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda

OVERALL RATING Nothing more to add – 6/6 It’s fun, that’s all – 5/6 ✔️Interesting – 4/6✔️ Mid – 3/6 To play when bored – 2/6 Not good… - 1/6 GAMEPLAY – 4/6 Interesting idea for depicting evolution of RPG games. With every „level”, new mechanics are added, so game feeds curiosity with „what’s next”. However, at some point, develop stops a bit, you start circling between loactions and it may be a little monotonous. It is however, an element of all RPG’s back then and it adds to climat. Overall is really fun and unique idea. DIFFICULTY – 2/6 Gameplay is quiet easy, bosses and minigames adds a little to the difficulty level. Card game on the highest level when you don’t have full deck is a little frustrating. Hardest achievement is beating final boss without losing health, the rest just takes time. EMOTIONS – 2/6 It didn’t make me emotional at all. At the beginning overall vibe gave me some nostalgia. Basically, that’s it. PLOT/DIALOGS – 3/6 Plot is straightforward, nothing groundbreaking. Dialogs are simple. Ordinary story about a hero fighting with evil like many others. But it’s not a bad thing, it fits the atmosphere of nostalgia and old, simple RPG stories. CHARACTERS – 4/6 Nice „easter egg” is, that names and looks of characters and monsters are referencing classics. That’s always a cute accent, especially in a game with subject like this. GRAPHICS – 4/6 It's not very polished but that’s the point! Each era stands out from the others. And I think that’s beautiful. 8-bit maps are done very well, 3D ones are little empty. MUSIC – 4/6 It’s also evolving with each era. Another cool element is the gradual addition of sounds, not just music.
Funny Well put together Old school
The game mirrors the technological evolution of the medium, starting with the heavy visual and mechanical abstraction of the 8-bit era, where symbols and simple sprites represented complex worlds due to hardware limitations, and gradually unlocking more detail.
